After a busy or hard day what makes you relax a bit or how do you unwind? Some people watch tv, or read a book. Others like to go for a walk. For me, I find gardening relaxing. I like to watch what i have planted grow and come to life. It makes me feel good to know I have accomplished this. I like to see the difference each day in what I planted. I like to look after my plants. Cuddling with my children on the couch is always a nice way to relax as well.

Listening to Bread or the Carpenters while relaxing on my recliner or while having a home-service manicure and pedicure and/or massage. This is one of those treats that I give myself when I think I deserve to relax a little. There are also times that I buy or rent 3 romantic movies and relax on my bed while munching on popcorn. Ahhh! What a great way to relax!

A long bath sounds great, especially now that the weather is getting colder!

HI Clarke!!I find your way of relaxing, very interesting and its also good for the health..Not only yours but you are also making others to live happily by planting...I never tried gardening, but when I am tired,I play some games on my system, which takes me away from all the tension and all kind of stresses. Some times I even prefer cooking after a very busy day.In this way I try to help out my mother in cooking..So that she can relax for some time..

hi jclarke I like to relax by doing meditation, if the stress is high. Normally, i prefer to read a book related to travelling or nature. natural beauty helps me to unwind a lot. So often i surf net for glittering pictures of mountains covered with snow etc.

for me its usually 1 of 2 things, depending on the time of day lol! but it always involves smoking a cig to go with the whole "im trying to calm down and relax" mission. first one is reading. i love reading and do so for at the very least 1 hour a day, but i dont always have a new book, and if im re-reading an old one it wont relax me because i know whats gonna happen next and i end up getting frustrated even more...so if i have a new book, then i can relax! second one is going out back and watering the yard. that really relaxes me, as long as i dont get my feet wet. i hate that! i can only do that during the evenings though, too hot during the day to water where i live, just end up burning the plants if i try.

A nice cup of coffee, gingerbread creamer, and either sit out on the back porch and just watch the birds at my feeders, or listen to some music and read a book. When I want to unwind I love to listen to Kenny G, his music is soooo soothing.

I sit on the bench out in front of my home. I watch the cars and the people go by. I enjoy the breeze. I like the out door sounds. Sometimes I sit and watch the clouds. Its just a quiet time.

Typically I just crash in front of the TV to relax. But I like your idea of gardening better. I don't live in a place now that gives me that option. But the place I'm moving to in the spring will. And I can't wait to do new landscaping, creating flower beds and a veggie and herb garden as well. I used to do all of that and miss it. My last two houses were all landscaped by me. I even put in a pond and fountain and outdoor lighting to light it all up at night. I think too many of us spend too much time in front of the TV. We should be outside getting the fresh air and exerisize and enjoying nature!

After a busy day,I like to have a cup of cold drink while logging in Mylot. It's so relaxing as I can think of some interesting topics to share and at the same time,I can sit back and relax. Sometimes,I would like to watch movies, sitting on the sofa and eating some snacks. It would be so nice if I have my favorite dramas. Lol. But if I am too tired,I would straight away go to have a shower then lie on my bed and rest. It all depends how tired I am.

I like to sit on MyLot after a hard day and respond to a couple of the discussions which will be going on at the time. It's relaxing for me, as I have a busy life, and it's nice to be able to sit down for an hour or so infront of the computer and just chat away without having to put too much thought or effort into it. I also like to read books or sit and watch the television with a nice cup of tea.

My way of relaxing is not any of those. You may think I'm crazy but that's the truth. After a hard day I will have a 30 - 40 mints bath and then I'll blow dry my hair and jump to bed and stay there looking up on the roof for a very long time. That time I will not on the TV or the radio.
