Corn on the cob the tastiest way to eat corn...

Last night we were enjoying farm fresh corn on the cob when I noticed with some amount of disgust my hubby was eating his corn on the cob backwards. I hoped it was because he was an Australian and did things backwards not any other sinister reason. I like to eat my corn from the small end to the large end. My sister used to eat hers one row at a time and hubby eats his from the big end to the small end. Some people use those little holder things. How do you eat corn on the cob?

when i cook corn i boil it so i cut the cob into three so it will fit inside the pot. so i dont know already which side to bite first. and i dont know that there is a right way to eat that. we put butter or sometimes salt. thats the way we eat it.

I hate it when I boil corn and the cob just doesn't quite fit in the pot! Then I too resort to cutting it up.

i more appreciate the corn when i cut it. i have four kids and i dont like seeing their cob of corn lying around not finished. it is a waste them doing that. cooking the corn on small pieces is more practical for me, for they can finish the corn. if they want more they can get another piece than seeing the cub unfinished

I didn't think there was a right way or a wrong way to eat corn on the cob. It all goes in your stomach anyway right. So what makes the difference to eating it from the small end or the big end. I love corn on the cob. But it has to be peaches and cream. I can't stand the other kinds that they have. I love it to be tender as well. I also like to use the corn holders as well since I always seem to have butter dripping down my arm. Not fun cause it gets quite sticky after awhile. I also eat mine in rows. Since having caps on my two front teeth I find it alot easier when doing it this way.

Peaches and cream is my favorite kind of corn too. The others are okay but peaches and cream are the best.

Gee, I never knew there was a right way and a wrong way. I don't really think it matters, I think it's more what you get used to. I've never paid attention to how others eat their corn on the cob, and I sure hope they don't make judgements on how I eat mine lol. I sometimes use the little corn skewers, if there's company, but if it's just me I don't bother. I like mine with lots of butter and some salt.

I never noticed others eating their corn either until the other night! Except for my sister who was eating one row systematically.

Hehe, I never thought there was a correct way to eat corn. But like your husband, I realize that I too eat the corn backwards and I was raised in Australia. LOL.

I think when I get to Australia I will find I do a lot of things backwards to them!

It is good any way you eat it. Sweet corn is the very best. I get ours at the fruit stand. It is fresh and hardly needs cooked.

Peaches and Cream is the tastiest and juiciest corn for corn on the cob. Salt, pepper and loads of butter is the ONLY way to eat it!! as for how i ACTUALLY eat it..didnt know there was a right and wrong way LOL i go straight for it!!
