Have you ever written a poem?

I’m always fascinated with poems especially with the deep emotions in it. I have written few poems before but I never share it to anyone. It’s too personal to be shared to others. My emotions and my life are in it. I felt that once someone read my poems, it is like you enter my world. It felt great to released emotions and put them into words. I’m glad that you do write poems again.

I write sonnets about cats. My book, Cat-House Sonnets, 100 poems celebrating cats, won the Muse Medallion from Cat Writers Association. I've written quite a few poems in my life. I have a book that has a good few in it. I haven't written any poetry in a good bit though. Maybe a year or so because I've been busy with school and haven't been inspired in a while either.

I used to write poems a lot back in college. My poems are usually about love and the lack of it. I find that it's easier to write a poem when you have very strong emotions like being broken-hearted or disappointed about love than being contented with your relationships. When I looked back on my poems, I found out that most of them, if not all, are about unrequited love. Now that I found the love of my life and I am happily married to him, it's harder for me to write poems. In fact, it's been a while since I wrote my last poem.
