If you had the money to throw around like water would you pay 2 million for a pair of shoes? I know I could find a better way to use that money, like helping other people who desperately need help. I read that these shoes made by Stuart Weitzman were worth 2 million dollars and were worn by singer Alison Krauss at the 2004 Oscar ceremony. I don't know if she bought them or not...They are called "Cinderella Slippers". Then I saw the "Ruby Slippers" named after the shoes worn in The Wizard of Oz, that have a price of 1.8 million dollars. So would you buy these shoes at this price??

No, thank you but I will never ever spend that amount of money for a pair of shoes. I'll buy me a boat or a house but not for a pair of shoes

There is no way in the world I would spend 2 million dollars on a pair of shoes. Not even if I had billions and billions of dollars. I think that is just crazy. I mean where would you go wearing a pair of shoes that cost that much? You sure would have to make sure noone knew of the cost. Otherwise I think someone would rob you of your shos.

There is no way I would spend 2 million dollars on a pair of shoes. I don't care if I had billions of dollars. That is crazy! That money could be used desperately in other places here in the US and around the world.

Ruby Slippers - these are the "ruby slippers"
cost 1.8 million dollars.
The funny part is neither pair look so expensive and I don't think they would be very comfortable

Cinderella Slippers, Cost $2 million - Cinderella Slippers made with diamonds and a 5 carat ruby.
Here is the Cinderella slippers. They too don't look like they could be worn for a long period of time. Sure not much like the ones in the story.

Definiately nothing like out the story. So what's the deal with only one shoe having a ruby in it? If I was going to spend that much, my "slippers" better have be matching.

Good grief! noway would I even entertain that, shoes are shoes you don't have to spend a fortune on them..it makes me sick that stars go and flash their money around like that when as you say it could be going to those less fortunate than them..and if it was me that is what I would do help others rather than get shoes of that amount of money that will only prbably be worn once...littleowl

Hi There. Good Morning! That would be a lot of money! For sure, I will not buy a shoes for worth 2 Million. I would buy a small house for my family and myself then give some money to my parents and save it in the future if I need it. Or probably, own a business so I have my own income. Whewww... I just couldn't waste 2 million by just buying a pair of shoes.. hehehe... Thanks! This is a nice thread. Happy Mylotting!

I would never spend two million dollars on a pair of shoes, even if I was a billionaire. There are so many other more useful things I could do with the money. There are many other things I'd rather have then a pair of gaudy, over the top shoes, and there are many other causes I'd rather put the money towards.

Yesterday I went to buy some new sneakers because when I went away to my cousin's wedding last weekend 300 miles away, I left my sneakers at my sisters house. I expected to maybe spend $30 but I was blessed. I went to TakeOverTheWorldMart, and found a great pair for $10. Two million is a little beyond my reach.

No way! I think it is outrageous to pay what I have to pay for my SAS shoes. Can't imagine paying a million or more for something that would wear out in a year or two or would only be used occasionally. Nope. No matter how much money I had, I'd not waste it on pricey shoes to show off how much money I had. Think of how many wells for clean water could be drilled in third world countries for a million dollars!

even if I had the money the answer is still no I'd rather invest to get money out money rather than some girly cinderella shoes I like my trainer I hate high heels and in summer I wear sandals so these slippers have no place in my home, or deposit box

Right now, I hate paying $20 for a pair of shoes. If I had 2 million dollars to blow... well I'd be donating, donating, donating. Some of it I would spend on others and hopefully they wouldn't find out it was me. Or do something like, borrow a friends car to run errands and while I'm out, have a few things fixed on it that they can't afford, get the oil changed and fill it up with gas and have it cleaned and detailed. Now that sounds good to me.

Heck no! Sorry but, I could buy thousands of pairs of shoes that I would actually be able to wear around, with that kind of money. I would rather spend that kind of money on charity and many inexpensive things, pay some bills and enjoy that money over a longer period of time than buy one pair of shoes that are likely really uncomfortable and not really a good pair to wear out in public unless you are dressed like a Princess or a teenage girl from Kansas with a bump on her head. LOL!

Only rich people who are stupid would spend that much. Intelligent rich people really know how to shop well as they are not ones to waste money as much as people think. I have a cousin who has a lot of money. You would never know it. He lives like we do but he is very frugal. He will buy good brand clothes because they last longer but he will not buy them unless they are on sale. It is the foolish who are soon separated from their money. I wonder if someone who spends that much all of the time can sustain their wealth.

Its amazing how inrational and unconsiderate some of us can be at times. Imagine investing just 50% of this fund spent on those shoes-that are prone to wear and tear-into the stock market. Believe me, it would not only do the owner good but also provide enough for the investor to touch other lives both directly or indirectly. We should start thinking like humans with minds!!

No, I won't spend money to buy such expensive shoes even if I am very rich. It doesn't make a sense to buy a pair of shoes for 2 million dollars. I wonder how I wear them because they are so precious. Probably I have to also buy millions of dollars for my clothes and I have to cost thousands of dollars to have a haircut. Everything will be expensive from these expensive shoes. I love China

If I had that much money I would spend 2 million dollars on shoes but not on 1 pair. I would buy as many shoes as posible for 2 million and send them to people that dont have a single pair. That would make me more happy than a pair of shoes that would be stuck in some glass box.

Wheewww..well I will buy a thousand pair of shoes for 2 million and I will not waste my money for just a pair of shoes..If I got really lots of money and I dont know how to spent it then I rather donate it to the charity that wasting my money for that stuff..God bless and have a nice dayy.;-0

Having 2 million dollars would mean I could buy 2 million shoes here in my country. That's quite a lot and I think I won't even able to count it. I'll even surpass the record of Imelda Marcos for being the girl with the most shoes. But to buy a shoe, a single pair for 2 million dollars is quite expensive for me. Anyways if they have the money to buy it why not right?
