I notice that everytime i went to a mall, specially malls where upper class and rich people buy. Sales lady and even customer will look at your dress like they were on an inspection or something. I find it rude since i dont see any reason why there should be an appropriate dress code everytime we buy stuff on these mall. I believe that for as long as you have the money to pay for an item. Then everyone is free to wear whatever clothes they like. One time i saw this sales lady asked a fellow customer if she is going to pay for the item he was holding. I just find it very rude. It doesnt mean because the person is wearing a casual dress and was wearing slippers. She should not treat the person with respect anymore. What make things worst is she followed the guy around and was asking same question. I shake my head and wonder. Is having a money should be base on your manner of dressing? i feel like only people with elegant looks are allowed to shop in that mall. I just shake my head and wonder why people could be judgemental on other people. Personally the status of life cant be seen by just looking at a person. And respect should be given equally to customer wither they are upper class or not. Thanks for reading my post and looking forward to hear your side regarding this discussion. Happy mylotting everyone!

Yeah, that's really rude to keep on asking someone if they're gonna pay for it just because how he/she is dressed. I've been to malls wearing my home clothes (shirt, shorts and slippers) and nobody would really mind. If a salesman approaches me asked if I'd buy the thing I'm looking at, I would give him/her an earful. Their job should be to attract people to buy right? Explain what the item is and how much the price would be and sometimes even payment options. It doesn't matter if the person has more money than the others. They're just the same. They're all customers. Take care.

That is what i am thinking too if it happen to me lol. If they wont give me any respect i wont give them either. Everyone who went to a particular store are customers so everyone should be treated equally.

Here in the US, if you're young, it doesn't matter how well you're dressed. You'll be watched and followed because most teens and 20-somethings admit to having shoplifted at least once in their lives.

That will be so unfair for those young people who never steal. I just dont like the way they look at some customer like they dont have the right to be in that store. Thanks for sharing!(".)

I have had this happen to me several times. Sales people can tell the price and quality of something you wear usualy and well make a prejudgement as to weither or not they want to help you or give to the evil eye. To them it is not what your wearing but who your wearing. I think it's wrong that they do this but there's not much that can be done when it's the managers who do this as well. Except maybe going to diffrent stores than theirs.

This is really bad, mall or any public place is for all , poor, rich or vip, more over dress or clothing does not make one more civilized if the wear is decent, here in my place i have never faced.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor
