I miss eating ice cream...

With the melamine scare, I have not eaten ice cream yet and I miss eating ice cream . I hope the ice cream here in the Philippines are free melamine contamination so that I can now eat ice cream, I miss my all time favorite very rocky road.

Have you ever tried making your own ice cream? You can do a search on "homemade ice cream" and get many ideas..I haven't tried them yet, but heard that it is good and it might hold you until this scare is over..

I have a neighbor who makes homemade ice cream, its good but not as good as the ones we buy on stores, I am not really interested in making formyself homemade ice cream, i think its s avery delicate recipe to try to mess up with, im not a good cook and im afraid it would be a disaster if i try making.LOL

Oh I love homemade ice cream, I would love to have a machine, because you get a lot..But here is a recipe that kids make and maybe you can add your own flavoring to it.http://crafts.kaboose.com/ice-cream-in-a-bag.html.

Our department of health already gave their list of megative from melamins milks, I hope they also do this with the local ice cream.There were two brands of milk that were found out to be positive of melamine.

I am very confident that locally made ice cream are free for melamine... but i still am not buying any... because my daughter has cough... and had fever for days... so we are in a sort of ice cream diet... but we will resume eating our favorite ice cream when she has fully recovered from her illness... and like you... i also love rocky road... and double ducth supreme...

Just buy locally made ice cream and there is nothing to worry about. Locally made ice cream will use local milk. I love ice cream!

Locally made ice cream I guess is safe. Is there also ice cream imported from china? With the melamine scare, I still buy milk and still eat ice cream. In fact last night I ate ice cream which my cousin brought home. It's a coffee crumble and rockyroad combi special. It's still delicious but we all like double dutch more but the store near home ran out of double dutch.

Yes, but I heard some are buying imported ice cream ingridients, but im just hoping that they have not purchased contaminated ingridients.

I don't blame you for being too scared to eat ice cream. However, have you thought of making your own ice cream? There are plenty of recipes on the internet and they are quite simple and inexpensive. Later, when you get used to making it, you can then start to add some of the flavourings that you like.

I do miss eating one too. I wish to try the newest flavor of magnolia 'banofee' icecream...hihihihihi..Have you tried that flavor already?

Banofee? Wow im sure theres a coffee ingredient on this flavor. Im not a coffee drinker but this ice cream is interesting enough and I would like to try it if given the chance.

Oh! I would miss ice cream
if it weren't available.
I don't eat ice cream too often.
But it's a nice treat
for birthdays.
I still have chocolate fudge
ice cream in the fridge from my
birthday the other day.

It's better to be free of worries rather than taking any risk when it comes to the food that we eat. Just be patient, cause there are news that some contaminated products from China were illegaly entered our country.

I heard the moo ice cream of selecta have but it has not yet been confirmed by DOH so its a wait and see situation my friend.
