Living to be 125?

Old woman - just a picture of an old woman

On one of my PTC sites today there was an ad about people living longer and longer and trying to get people to buy some sort of vitamin or potion or whatever that would help them to reach the age of 125. Now my question is why? Why would anyone want to live that long? Would you? If so, tell us why you would and what do you think would be so good about it

Oh new shoes, Nice avatar, I'm distracted apparently. The way I hurt some days I can honestly say NO WAY would I want to live to 125 however I would like to see my grandchildren graduate and get married. I'm thinking that's a stretch because I'll soon be 58 and my grandchildren are only 7 and 4. Good Luck to me.

Yes me too every year it's something else. I have had serious health problems and I try to stay positive and take it as it comes. It would be a thrill to see Great Grandchildren, but no way do I want to see 125 years of all this.

I am afraid, my friend, that our bodies have become like automobiles, there is always something else going wrong But, only God knows how long we shall continue to run, so Time will tell what and who we see

I would hope that you will make it to see them graduate and have a family There are days when my arthritis is bugging me so bad I can't stand it. I would not want to live to see 125 if I am getting worse every year, which I am

Hi fwidman, Well, I for one wouldn't like to live that long, anyway all those vitamin and potions are a lot of money making garbage, the secret of staying alive a little bit long is keeping yourself fit and healthy. Tamara

I hope not, tamara My body has had a rough life and it is now letting me know just how tough. But, I'll survive a while longer I'm sure. You should live much, much longer

I wouldn't want to live that long because I would see my children die and my close friends and family members. It would be really sad for me to see my 3 kids die before me. So my answer is no I want to die when I'm in my 80's or early 90's.

I don't blame you, littleowl. I plan on being here only as long as the Lord wishes me to remain. No matter the age I go, I will have lived the best life I could and shall be happy I am already the only member of my family left, except for stepchildren, all my brothers and sisters have left me behind

No one knows for how long they will live, I find it interesting that while no one wants to die either, one wants to live with a certain quality of life, 125 does not seem like it is a good idea, because medicine is not advicing that much to insure that people will be able to defend and fend for themselves, Having said that, will I want to live that long? No. Would I? Doubt it since it not up to me. now just for the record

125 would be okay, if I had the wherewithal to survive, with decent health and money to live. But, I doubt that I will survive that long. You, perhaps. Medicines are improving through the years, so there is hope for you and Esme I was shocked that you almost forgot the

I do not believe that medicine is improving our lifestyle, it is just making depend on them more, and maybe it will be more of Esme's lifetime than mine. Decent health is more important than money, money comes and goes, it is something to carry us through, give us what we need but nothing else. And I will never forget to

I don't plan on living past 100. I'm not sure how I feel about this, and if I would want to take it. It would be nice to live long, not that long

If you make it past 100, you surely could make 125 I am not sure I'd want to see either 125 or 100. Seems a tad long to be here to me

I hear ya! I have had arthritis since my 20's and now have osteoporosis in my sppine and my hips and my joints scream at me daily. I doubt that I'd be in any great shape at 125

I believe when your number's up, your numbers up. Sure I exercise & eat healthy and that stuff, but i'm not going to try any "magic" potion that would make me supposedly live longer... besides, the potion can't keep you from being run over by a bus or struck by lightning, would it?

Nope I do exercise rarely and I don't eat healthy as I love junk foods. But, I can still see a bus coming at me so I am still here

Fwidman..why do you have a picture of me?..I know i'm an old woman but seriously don't go showing it to everyone please..I might get a Beauty contract from someone and i'd hate to turn them down... If i lived that long it would be just to see how my kids and grandchildren turned out and what they looked like after raising their children..lol..

Silly rosekitty! I know that is not a picture of you! I have already seen my kids have kids and raise them so I won't have to wait until 125

I wouldn't want to live that long, I wouldn't be able to do anything active and I'd just be this thing that sat there while people stared at me or asked me questions that I only knew outdated answers to. I'll take 90 years old, that way I can see my grandkids and still be able to pick them up.

Ha, you'd be lucky if you could remember any of the answers Now, if I was wealthy, I guess living that long would be okay, at least I'd still have money for food and shelter and such I already have grandkids that I have picked up, been a grandpa since my mid thirties

First she don't live in city, there is bad air,so many factories,cars...they are makeing air to bad.She may live a place which is town, she ate green food,no chemical,it must be a big cause for living longer,so many testimony prove that people who live far away modern city will live longer,i think we need fresh air and no chemical food, these are good for our health, but it is less in our life...

This is why I do not live in a large city, although my small town is growing rapidly every year, and giving us less and less clean air As for the healthy foods, I shall pass on that, I like junk foods too much

Of course i want to live longer for my family because i still want to enjoy my life with them.I want to see my daughter achieve her dream and have her own family.I also want to play with my grandchildren and watch them grow. But i don't want to be a burden to my family.I want to stay healthy and feel young no matter how old i am but if i could no longer take care of myself then i better die than be a burden to them.

I would like to live so long only if I will be as healthy as I am now, so I could enjoy the life. Unfortunately this is not possible. I think everyone would like to live even forever, why not? It is natural nobody want to die. I love life with all the small things you can enjoy and looking forward to.

I guess if you were as healthy as you are today why not live. Live to see your children have children of their own. Live to see your grandchildren have children. Live to see the world change in wonderful and miraculous ways. Live to live. If you have to suffer, I agree a short life is preferable. Thanks for posting Happy Mylotting.

If I were as healthy as I am today at 58, I still wouldn't wish to live that long. Children having children doesn't excite me all that much. It's nice, but not that big of a deal I've seen the world changing, I am not certain it's gotten better.
