I think exams don't serve any purpose rather than adding misery to a human.Practical knowledge is the most essential than writing something that we understand.Feeling bad after a bad examination is worst than thinking how i am going to perform.Testing speed ability is just another word for an exam according to me.

Hi sridhar.
Exams are not bad, but they sure are draining. They are just a small thing you need to clear to show them that you posses enough knowledge. I do not think that examinations are a measure of true knowledge, but since most companies giving out jobs now a days are looking for high scores in the resumes, there has been a been a revolution and all want their children to do the best they can do in their examinations, even if they have to forgo some other parts of life like sports and friends and enjoyment. Too bad that the education system has gone wrong.

It's not a misery. It is one way of testing the human brain.
