Do you all have Bible in your home?

I think most of us must have Bible in our home. It is the book where the word of God has written. The Christian Bible includes the same books as the Tanakh (referred to in this context as the Old Testament), but usually in a different order, together with twenty-seven specifically Christian books collectively known as the New Testament. Those were originally written in Greek. Eastern Orthodox Churches use all of the books that were incorporated into the Septuagint, to which they add the earliest Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible;[3] Roman Catholics include some of these books in their canon; and many Protestant Bibles follow the Jewish canon, excluding the additional books. Some editions of the Christian Bible have a separate Biblical apocrypha section for books not considered canonical. As of March 2008, translations of the full Bible are available for 438 languages, translations of one of the two testaments in 1,168 additional languages, and portions of the text exist in 848 additional languages. This means that partial or full translations of the Bible exist in a total of 2,454 languages. Do you have Bible in your home? Thank you for sharing.. Have a nice day..

Yes, Ihave many bibles in my home. They are all King James Bibles. The King James Bible is said to be the most accurate account of the actual communication between God and the authors that wrote each of the books of the bible. I am Christian of Baptist faith, and hold dearly to the Word of God. I feel that my bible is my handbook for life. There are lessons to be learned for every aspect of ones life in the text.

Many newer translations use the oldest manuscripts. Many of these older manuscripts were not even known about at the time of King James translation. Since you are a Baptist, I wondered if you are aware that King James (who commisioned the translation) was a Catholic?

King James was a reluctant or closet Catholic. The Catholics referred to him as a Protestant. He referred to the Catholics as "Papists". King James was an eveangelist of true gospel and was actually an enemy of Catholisism. The Catholics called him a Protestant and attempted to assasinate him many times. KJ did call a translation committe of 54 men to translate and correct the coruption of man enterd into the Bible during the reigns of Henry and Edward.

Yeah warrior, I do have Bible in my home and it is in Chinese version. It was a gift from one of my Christian friends during my middle school days. During those sweet days I always loved to participate in the church song singing activity. I liked almost all the church songs and they were so tender and attractive. I believe my friend hoped that I would learn more about Christianity by reading the Bible. But I’m sorry to say that so far I had read a few pages of this holy book only. posting and have a nice day.

What do they say is nice about the koran. The koran is not a nice book. Any religion that places a god picked by a man from 360 lunar gods is not a holy book and should not be viewed in the same light as the Word og God, the Holy Bible. You should do some researc on the history of koran and you will see what I mean. Don't be fooled, there is only one Messiah and He has already been resurrected and will return to earth as the King of King and Lord of Lords.

Well, i really dont know anything the religion.. but i have learned from a dear friend who was raised and born Catholic that she tried reading the book and the teaching are good. it teaches values almost the same in the Holy bible, the teachings says that we should be good to others, respect others. and i guess it's right.. we should learn to respect other people. i am catholic but i have muslim friends and i dont judge people just because they dont have religion as mine..

Yes, I have a bible in my house.. My husband and I usually leave our other bibles in the car, so that we do not forget them when we go to church. I once had a car that was stolen, and the thieves took everything out of the car except for my husband's bible ( I wonder why) I had just bought him that bible as a Christmas present, and so glad that they left it, it was very expensive.

Because I am not a christian, I don't keep a bible in my home. However yesterday while sorting things to get ready to move I came across a box of my grandmother's things. In it was a bible, that didn't look like it had even been opened. Since it holds no sentimental value, and I don't plan to read it, I'm donating it to the local thrift store.

I am quite spiritual, just not Christian. I am Wiccan, and believe in God AND the Goddess. I don't need a bible to read, I have my own books that reflect my own religious choice.

Just curious Tess. Do you believe in God? If not, do believe in satan?. If not do believe in anything spiritual? The Bible is not a make believe story. I pray someday you will turn to God! Good Luck.

even though i am a back slider in my religion as of now, i still bring the bible with me to remind me of God's laws that I should not forget, and be guilty every time I commit a sin, or do things which is against my church. I only have the English version of it, and it is the king James version. have a nice day :)

Same here, though i'm a back slider but we still have bible at home. I still respect it since I know it's the word of God. Back slider in the sense that i'm not joining fellowships, but the laws and teachings that i learned from it remains in me. Try to read it and you'll learn a lot of good teachings!

We have a copy somewhere but only because it was required when I was in high school. Since then, I haven't really read it anymore. I don't like my copy of the Bible I think it's too censored. I tried reading some passages for inspiration in the past but it has never worked for me. When I have a problem, I'll keep to myself or confide in a friend or family member. It works better that way.

i grew up in a very religious (Catholic) family. the whole household prays the rosary every night and attends mass every Sunday (and other "holiday" obligations). I also studied from gradeschool to college in Catholic schools, so i guess i have a lot of Biblical knowledge. My mother wakes up early in the morning everyday around 4am and reads her prayer novenas. Now, i live with my husband (different house than i was still single). We still have a Bible around here. I think it has never been touched for a long time now. It's also sad that i don't get to attend mass every Sunday anymore. It makes me feel incomplete and low. I really want to go to mass but some circumstances hinder me at times.

Yes we actually have 3. One of then only has the new testament in it. I'm wanting a women's devotional bible. I had a friend a few years ago, who had one, and I was always reading hers. It has stories in it that deal with daily situations, and it shows how the scriptures relate to everyday lives. I think thast should be the #1 itmen on my Christmas wish list of gifts.

Have loads of Bibles at home and many of these are mine. Remember I was given my first Bible at my christening although I was to young to actually remember this, my next Bible was given to me at church and finally I was given one by Gideons when I first started school. As well as this both my mum and sister have one each and my dad has a huge victorian Bible which has been passed down through the last few centuries and has a family tree written within the front cover.

I am a catholic and do have a bible at home. I wouldn't say I read it much because I already go to church on sundays but now and then when I do have some spare time I will read a story or two from the bible.

Yes, I have. Everyone in my family has. I think it's a personal thing. I like to use my own bible. I have read it from cover to cover but you must forgive me for I cannot bear to read lamentations. It by far, the one book that I will carry if I am in an Island. I know much about it but still, new revelations when you read them over again amazes me. I havent read it for over a month now. I think I am in a stage where I am waiting for God's plan in my life to unfold and I do not want to trigger more questions in my mind. So I would like not to think too much.
