I have spyware on my computer! Who knew?

Today I decided to run Spyware Doctor on
my computer and found at least four bad security
threats including a browser hijacker and a Trojan worm.
It had been about 28 days since my last scan
and apparently my computer collected a lot of junk
in that time!
Guess I'll be running a scan more often.
How long do you go in between spyware scans?

I run spyware several times a week. I found 60 last time. I have noticed that they seem to be the same ones every time I find them. Its just best to run it very often because you may have them and never know it.

Do you ever got to auto surf sites?
I did that for awhile, and ended up
with about the same number of trojans
on my system.
My monitor has been trying to crash lately
and I think it had something to do with
the spyware.
You never know what those things can do to
mess up your system.

I have one that is regularly scheduled to run, at least once a week. I try to do some kind of security measure weekly.

My system used to be set up to
scan automatically.
Now I'm not sure what's going on.
It hasn't auto scanned in almost
a month.
I'm glad I went ahead and initiated
a scan today.

I have one that I use just before I close my computer off and I try and do some other scans either weekly or monthly. Its amazing how much junk the computer can collect in so much time, there is alot of bad junk going around aswell so you have to be extra careful!!

My anti-spyware take care of that automatically but i have noticed that there are some anti-spyware programs which will just tell you that there is spyware on your system even thou there is nothing on your system, they just want you to buy their product.I once bought hard drive and loaded operating system and donloaded a certain anti-spyware run it and it detected 45 spyware softwares on my system only to find that they just wanted me to buy their product which it was a spyware itself.

My husband looks after that type of thing but I think he has it set up that it scans automatically daily at 9AM. That's around the time that the window pops up anyway!

. I also try to do a complete computer scan at about the same rate, as I do pick up lots of bugs with all the surfing I do.
