hello there OTAKU's. how many Japanese animation had you watched in your entire life..too many too say huh! how many did you like and how many you hate? there are so many anime genre that came and about to come into the anime world, but of all the animation that you've watch so far, what do you think is the more REALISTIC one..i mean, the one that could possible happen in real life? certainly Dragon Ball Z can't be Realistic...even the Gundam series! Slam Dunk is somewhat realistic to me and Knockout (Ippo Makonochi).

do you ever go to Anime North? I have a friend who goes to that convention every year. She likes it a lot. I don't understand it.

I went to Anime North last year with three friends for one day, and this year a group of me and six friends plan to go for the entire three days (Friday/Saturday/Sunday). It's a lot of fun, because living in Ontario, the farther you get from Toronto, the less amount of anime merchandise and fans you can find... so it's a lot of fun to pack up for the weekend, head down to Toronto, and meet up with almost a thousand other anime fans and dealers and just have a good time. The best part is definately the cosplayers, it really tests your knowledge to try and guess who everyone is dressed up as. It's like Halloween in May X3

Realistic? hmm.. I would say Hikaru no Go, Slam Dunk, Nodame Cantabile and etc. Those Josei, Seinen and Slice of Life anime are usually quite realistic. Unrealistic ones... too many to name. In fact, most of the fighting ones are unrealistic ie. Bleach, D Gray Man, Full Metal Alchemist (I always wish I'm an Alchemist ).

i like Naruto and Zombie Loan, but I'm recently addicted to Rozen Maiden. Well, some anime are reflections of real life with a little bit of exaggeration to make it entertaining and funny to watch, just like Ichigo 100%. =D

Yomigaeru Sora - Rescue Wings - Uchida Kazuhiro joined the JASDF hoping to fly fighter jets, however midway through the pilot training program he was transferred to the rescue helicopter course and was eventually deployed to the Komatsu Rescue Squad as a SAR helicopter pilot. Initially depressed at his assignment, Uchida's experiences eventually cause him to change his mind.
Some anime that comes into mind would be Genshiken, Honey and Clover, or Rescue Wings.. the stories in each of them are all possible to happen in real life.. (^_^ )

Out of the anime /I've/ watched. I can't really say I hated any of them. xD Maybe lost interest, but I never cared enough to hate any really. I think indifference is different from hate. :3 And I think the most realistic animes I've ever watched are the sports-oriented ones (if you ignore the dramatization of some of the shots and hits the anime shows to make it look more interesting of course xD). I think Major (baseball anime O:) is one of the most realistic animes out there. Along with Slam Dunk, which is really hilarious and when I get the time, I shall watch it again xD.

I want Moyashimon to be real! There must be someone like Sawaki out there. :) Part of the charm of anime is how it stylizes the mundane...things like Hikaru no Go (previously mentioned), Yakitate Japan, Cooking Master Boy.. The Ghost in the Shell movies are actually pretty good examples of potential futures...could I say they were realistic even though it's scifi? Or Real Drive. Unrealistic...not sure really...Mai Otome?! XD

I agree, Slam Dunk is one of the most realistic anime and it's really funny. Besides that I would say that Hikaru no Go (series about the japanese board game Go) is just as real (if you believe in the existance of souls). I've actually learned some rules and tips on playing Go from the anime while getting to know how the life of a professional Go player is like.
