Hello friends, when i was still new in this site, i always wonder why do i have so many UNRESOLVE DISCUSSION for all of my started topic here in mylot. Then i realize that unresolve discussion are those discussion that i have not yet mark as best response. What i did is to go back to my old discussion and give best response to the responder that deserve with the mark. I am glad that some of those responder take time to thank me for making their response as best response. Now a have three unresolve discussion which is the latest discussion i make. How about you friends, can you count the unresolve discussion you have? Have you mark a best response to the responder of the discussion?

hi quinnk, You can still mark those old discussion you post, there is no time limit to do it, i guess you should try to mark best response to the discussion you make one at a time to lessen the unresolve post, when even you feel that the responder deserve it. Happy mylotting.

Well i guess you should try to solve it intime, because for me it is not so good to have unresolve discussion for it means that you dont care about the responders response. It is like having a problem that havent yet resolve, and when you mark a BR it also give moral to the responder to make an effort to respond well not just for the sake of responding.

A discussion is never resolved as discussions are never ending. If everyone has teh same opinion, then there can be no discussion. You can keep discussing till the cows come home but yu will not get a solution.

i am sorry to disagree, for me discussion is to be resolve and to put it an end. If you have the same opinion well it is not called discussion anymore but a conversation. But since here in mylot are more on conversation, still you have to put a period to end it. Thats what a best response is all about.

I guess it depend upon the person, if you like a discussion that has no end then do it. But for me i like it to end and change it to another topic, why should dwell on thing that no end for it becomes stressful and create problem at the same time. Having a conclussion can make a good discussion and can resolve probem too. I know that some dont agree with me but i guess its for everybody to have better way of having a discussion.

A discussion is always seamless. There is a beginning but no end. it can carry on for ages without all people agreeing. It is unlike a debate where you come to conclutions. It is like you sitting at home with a few friends and talking about a movie. Everyone gives their opinion once twice or as many times as they want. They acn chose to be silent and just listen. They cnawalk aways and come back and again participate. Noconclusions are required. The discussion can break up after a few minutes or an hour or even longer. it really does not matter. it is never an uncomplete discussion as no conclusions are required.

It is still good that you can count your unresolve discussion, for some dont give any best response at all. Happy mylotting.

I have just three(3) at this time. I just resolved about 50 the other day. I tend to do mine every two (2) weeks to avoid them piling up too quickly. I start a lot of discussions in (100) a month and this is the easiest way for me. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Im glad you will do it. It is one way of rewarding to the deserving responder who responded your discussion. My main purpose why i ask this question is to incourage everyone to give best response to the responder so that they will make quality post and not just for the sake of posting. Happy mylotting.

I have 13 unresolved discussions. I resolve each discussion differently depending on the question asked. Sometimes I ask for solution to practical problems in day to day life and I give best response to people whose solution works for me. I used to resolve my discussions earlier before but nowadays I wait for atleast a month before I decide because sometimes there are better responses that come even after a month and I have already decided in favour of someone else. There are also discussions that you don't know whom to give best response because many people have replied the same way that you like. And there are also discussions where the only people who have responded have totally misunderstood the question or posted irrelevant answers. These discussions stay unresolved in my account.

very well said vijigopi, For me, i dont like to have many unresolve discussion, especially if the discussion i started was already more than a month ago i just give the best response even i dont get their idea, i still give them a reward in taking time in answering my topic discussion. Happy posting.

I have a few but I leave them for a while now to encourage more people to respond. The trouble is if you have no responses there is nothing you can do as you can not resolve the discussion. I have 2 like that and they will sit there for ever I suppose. I used to resolve them the same day but I never got many responses doing that. I have discovered that leaving them open for up to a week will give people a chance to find it and answer. There are some people who will still respond to a discussion were the bp has been given.

hi sharral, Yes i agree with you, it makes it harder to resolve a discussion with no response at all. Since you said so, may be some of here will try to solve it for they already know. Thanks for responding.

I know what you mean my friend a lot of people have unresolved discussions because either they did not get any responses on the discussion or they are not sure which person to give the best response to,I personally have like eleven unresolved discussions and at least half of those are unresolved because I did not get any responses on them,so I can not mark a best response, and the others are ones I have not chosen a best response for,I normally give the discussion about a week and then I pick a best response, normally I will look at each response, and whoever gave me the longest most quality filled response,is the one who gets the best responses because I feel that is only fair way to pick the best response.

Hi hellcowboy, Atleast you can still count how many unresolve discussion you have. Personally before i cant count mine for i dont give B.R. to anyone. It is just i realize that it is about giving a mark. My porpose of bringing this discussion is to incourge everyone to mark B.R. to the responser especially the new members. Happy posting.

I have 1 unresolved discussion right now. I started a discussion about a murderer who walked away completely free and clear. I have received 3 responses to it. I am wanting to get more input and see what more people think before I mark the discussion. Unfortunately, my friends have not responded to the discussion. I got 3 responses shortly after I started the discussion and that was it. So, I am going to wait awhile and see what happens.

In my case even their is only one who responded my discussion, i still give to the responder my B.R. for the time and effort in answering my discussion. I just wait for a week to give my B.R. to the responder.

Hello. I am relatively new to mylot and I have started only a few discussions. I only marked 1 discussion with a best response. I did not know that it should be done on all of my discussions. Thank you for the advice. I will go back through my own and try to rate the responses. I do appreciate it when others respond to my discussions.

Hi chaska, It is your preference if you like to give best response to the responder of your discussion. But still it would be nice if we mark them for they will make an effort to give a good response to the discussion and also to make them happy too to the reward you make.

Thanks for the topic. It serves as a reminder to me to pick the best response. I did mark for few, but not all in my discussion. I'm going to do that soon. It is not an easy task though. There are quite a few of good response there. Great job to dear MyLotters!

hi friend, this is what is all about here in mylot, it is like having a problem and resolve it when done. But one of my problem in giving B.R. is not having enough responses for i still not satisfied for the answered. But still i gave it for effort in responding not the quality itself.

I have five discussions and I have not marked the best response because none of the responses were good enough. I got only four or five on an average and I didn't feel that I should be giving out the best response soon enough. I'm still hoping that more people will respond to it and I get to choose the best from them. Till then, have to wait. bourne

Hi!I'm not too sure how many exactly, but I think I got 3-5 unresolved discussions. Actually, I kinda having a difficulty on choosing best response, that two or more have the answers that I quite like, that in a way I keep pushing it back, but I'm planning to resolved it and choose best response on my discussions later this week or next week.

I have some discussion that i have not given a respond. I was busy this past couple of days and i didnt got the chance to spend time online to say thank you for every person who shared there opinions on my discussion. I also did not choose yet a best response among members who posted there views but i will definitely do it right now that i am already back. It is normal sometimes you forgot to post your response to them specially when your schedule is hectic.

I agree with you belk89, Doing here during our free time make it more difficult to response all who responded our discussion especially if you got plenty of responses. i have one discussion that has more than a hundred response, i just select those person that i like to thanks for i dont have enough time to respond to them. i hope they would understand for my being selective comment.thanks for responding.

I had only eight unresolved questions and I had started only 10 discussions through out. I am looking for a good response to my questions and if I get one, then I will select them as my best response.
