have you ever thought or planned on how many kids do you want to have and how many years are there age intervals or age gap? Like what they say, the more the merrier and it is but the more kids you have would mean the more expensive it is to raise your family. Not to mention how hard life is today.

I already have the kid I wanted to have, is my daughter, and after having her I planned no more kids, so that's all for me. I know of friends who space their kids like one every two years and others who pretty much had them when they did, randomly.

Right know I have a 2 year old daughter. I have always wanted 4 kids. I have always wanted them to be 2 through 3 years apart.

i never limit myself on how many children i want to have... i trust in God whole-heartedly to give me the number of children that He thinks that i will be capable to look after of... i personally want 2... my hubby wants at least 3... at the moment, we don't have any yet and keep on trying... take care and have a nice day...

I want to have 2 kids or 3 the most. I agree with you about "the more the merrier" but it really is expensive to raise a big family with times like today. I'm thinking about 2-5 years gap. So, you didn't mention how many kids you want to have?

I want 4 boys! I want that because i'm going to see me and my brothers in them. And i dont like to have a daughter because maybe i cant take it when she is being courted or going to be married. Like what Vin Diesel said in "Fast and the Furious part 1 "break her heart ill brake your neck". HAHAHA

Well, based on experience, I would have the same number of kids my parents have because it feels happier having 4 kids around. Personally, when I was growing up, I did not really feel the need to hang-out with other kids because my hand is full with just being with my brothers. Well, though we're basically poor, it was really fun growing up with my siblings, and my parents were able to send us to school (though I know it was financially tough for them).

Any couple should decide this before hand to avoid a lot of trouble. In India, in a couple has more than two children, then their privileges are taken away, and this applies to new couples only. India is in the top three of the most populated country and the income by the country is not enough to support the people. So this policy was implemented and I think I'll stick with it. 2 is more than enough. Elder boy, and a younger girl. Lol.. I can't decide that, well actually it depends on me Yes, it is hard to manage if there are more children and with the economy on the rockers, we cannot say how our lives will end up in the future. SO to be on the safe side, planning out things for the worst case scenario is the best option. bourne

Twins completed my wish - I have just a son but twins Andrei and Andrew completed my wish for 3 kids at home. They are my grandchildren but they are like my sons as well. These kids add sunshine to our home each day and we love them so!
Children are inheritance from God so those who have many children are receipients of many inheritance from God. I would have loved to have many children but of course I can't manage to bear as many as I want so I just limited the number of my wish to at least three. However God gave me just one. I am not disappointed though because at least God gave me one gift... a wonderful son. Lately God answered my prayer...he added two more to complete my wish. But the two additions did not come from me. They are twin grandchildren borne by my niece. I am so thankful to God because he has wonderful ways of answering prayers. I now have 3 happy children in my home and that I really love.

I always thought two, or maybe three, but I prefer the adults to not outnumber the children. However I am still single with no intention of raising a child by myself, so I think by the time I finally get around to it, I will be lucky to have one. I would rather not have too many children, anyway, I think things could get too chaotic, although I'm sure even one can do that...

Very interesting topic. I would have a classroom full if I could guarantee that they would all be as good as my baby is now. I have 1 child 10months old. The age gap is up for discussion between my hubby and I however I keep saying that I would ideally like 2 however open to 3 children about 3 years apart. Some say I am crazy but I would really like to have one out of diapers before I get into them again. You are right about life being hard. It scares me to raise children in today's world but I can only be the best mom I can be and go from there and leave the rest to the higher power to protect my beautiful creations.

I am planning to have three only. In my case, I only have a sister. I wish to have a little brother or a little sister. I get jealous when I saw my cousins so happy playing together. Our gap is 5 years and 11 months. We played happily when we were still kids. But because when she was born I was studying already, it seemed to have created a barrier between us. Still I am so lucky to have only one sister because if I have many brothers or sisters maybe I cannot earn a degree. Cost of living nowadays is too expensive. I will strive hard so that I can raise my future family well.

I think I would like two. I have one boy and would like another child someday. I don't care whether it's a boy or a girl. It is expensive to have children, but it is so rewarding.

I have always wanted 2, but right now, I have only 1- and that's the way it's staying for a long time. My mom only wanted 1, but she had a miscarriage and ended up getting pregnant with twins- my sister and I. It is expensive to raise more than 2 kids, but with perseverance, it can definitely happen!!

My husband and I decided to have a maximum of 3 children. I came from a big family, although it's happy but it's hard sometimes especially in giving all what they need. We have to be practical right now especially now that the cost of living is very high and because of what happen to US stock market which all the world are affected.

I have two boys, two years apart. We felt that an only child would be lonely and that three was more than the house and finances would stand. Part of me would like a daughter but you have to be practical about these things.
