What do you think? My kids don't watch much TV. We have a 7 year old daughter and she doesn't watch that much at all even though she can watch movies in her room. She will watch TV or a movie but she also chooses to do other things and we have never gad to tell her to stop and do something else. She only has one favorite show on TV. Our 2 year old son doesn't watch much either. He has a few favorite shows that he watches and in the morning I have it on the channel with his shows for about 2 hours. There are 2 shows that he will sit right through but other shows even though they are on he still doesn other things while they are on. The shows that he watches are educational shows so I don't mind as much. So neither one of my kids watch that much in my opinion but I know some other people that let their kids watch TV all day long. After the morning hours, I just change the channel and my kids don't even get a choice in the matter. They get to watch TV but I make sure they have plenty of time to play and do other things and we make sure that we spend time doing something with them. What do you think? How much TV is too much for kids in your opinion?

I can say that 1 or 2 hours is appropraite for kids or maybe after they watching thier favorite tv program. After that they need to do something else than watching tv, do exercise and doing homeworks. Happy posting.

I agree with that and that's about all my kids get usually. Some people I know think watching most of the day is fine with them. I would rather my kids do something instead. Thanks for responding!

There are some children that do watch television all day long. My son doesn't watch it as much as he used to. I like to get him out to play in the sun and engage in some other activities. Now don't get me wrong, the television that he views throughout the day is usually pretty educational. He has learned a lot from tv. But there are also other things to do like coloring and playing with toys and friends outside. I would have to say that more than four or five hours of television viewing a day is probably too much.

I also think that more than 4 or 5 hours would be to much too. That's what my son watches is educational shows too. There have been many things that he has learned by some of the shows he watches. I think we are the same when it comes to making sure they do other things in the day. Thanks for sharing!
