Can i ask you which you think is a good gift for children because i have a lot of nephews and nieces and i don't have much time to thing about which gift to give them? well, it has to be a material thing and doesn't have to cost that much. thanks for your suggestions fellow lotters! :)

Hello marosegf. You're right, Christmas is just around the corner. I am also on the hunt for gifts for my nieces and nephews. And yes, it does not have to be expensive. The thing to consider in giving gifts is their personality, their age, their likes and dislikes. I usually ask them what their hobbies are, their talents, what they want to be when they grow up, etc. That way, I can think of something related to what they like. If I don't get the chance to talk to them, what I do is call their parents and ask them what their child likes which will give me an idea of what to give this christmas. Some of the gift ideas are toys for litle boys (action figure toys, cars), books, clothes, art materials, footwear. For girls, i suggest clothes, hair accessories, bracelets, earrings, necklace, dolls, books, girly girly toys. You know what, I am so excited to buy gifts now .. especially wrapping them. Wrapping gifts is a pure delight to me. Advance happy holidays !!

well, i think people now are not that preparing yet for the season unlike before, everyone is excited and is eagerly waiting for december to arrive. it is sad. it is maybe the cause of the different issues and problems the country is having right now.

hello maroseqf, In my own opinion if your nieces and nephews are still in grade school, you can give them something that they can use in school. But if they're in high school, something they can wear or use as a teens. You can buy them games or gadgets if you have a lot of budget in shopping. It really depends in your budget. But what's really important is not the cost is the thought of giving.

that is sad. but that should not stop you from celebrating the season. material things are not important as long as your whole family is together and you are all happy.

Well, I have 2 nieces, the first one is 6 years old and the second will be 2 years old this coming November 13.. I'm planning to give my 6 years old niece a scooter.. I had already canvas how much does it cause while the other one I'm still thinking.. Well, I'm planning to give her a bicycle that has 4 wheels.. I know that she will love it.. well,I suggest for your nephew you may give them also a bicycle or a scooter.. Or toys that is car or robots.. Boys really love those kinds of toys.. The best thing to buy something for them is the one that their favorites or something that they were asking to have.. Just like my 6 years old niece, she really wants to have a scooter since she jealous with her friends.. My 2 year old niece are far from me but I will just send my gift to her or send money then I'll just ask my sister to buy her something that she really like...

Presents to be given to kids this Christmas should be something that they would really like. Mostly, they tend not to appreciate foods and clothes. Still, its the new toys and electronic gadgets. I think it would be costly for the gadgets. So, better stick up with the toys

Hi dear Maroseqf, Children love the surprise of getting a gift. They don't know what's inside their present and can imagine their gift to be just about anything. But the best thing about giving a gift for a child, is knowing that someone loves them enough to give them a gift! but the gift something like play iteams.

A box...a very big box. haha my kids have more fun with the box, wrapping paper, packing foam and ribbons. but really, the best thing for kids is something educational. Depending on their ages there are different things you could get them. It also depends on the kids themselves. For masses, I would probably go towards books or something. Its always good to push reading with children no matter what age. Just make sure you get the age appropriate book for each child. And you can stay in one shop. If you have some place like Barnes & Noble there, then you can just go there. If not, they do have an online store which is just as good. I like shopping there and just as an added bonus, they take PayPal as well.

Well, kids are just so easy to please. I thought before that it would be more practical to give them clothes and accessories they can use everyday as gifts but I believe they'll be happier if you give them toys rather than those I mentioned (depending on the child's age though). There are lots olf toys that fits the budget so I believe it all depends on the budget we accorded to them.

First you try to understand your child's interest. Some like toys , some like chocolates and some like dress may some thing different also. Also try to budgest it. The you can easily decide which gift will suit the child. I ts not a difficult if you understand his or her necessity.

Always the better gifts for children are, to give them what they want, kids always have the habbit of desiring for things, so if you want to satisfy them then you need to buy things which interests them very much.

Well for me, no matter how simple your gift is, the children would appreciate it. Just make it creative. For me, I told my sister about Santa Claus and i told her to put sock on the Christmas tree and that Santa will give his gifts to her at Christmas. The children would really appreciate and that they will be very happy to receive gifts from Santa.

I can't stand people who think kids should get a big pile of toys for Christmas! Usually what happens is the items are thrown in a pile. I would think the best gifts for children would be something that would allow them to learn, share and move. Things like a microscope or telescope would be a great learning gift. Items such as games makes them interact with other people and be social. Things like sporting equipement makes them get outside and move.
