An odd quirk/habit?

Each of us has odd habits/quirks that others may feel are strange, odd, or bordering on insane. One of mine is that when I drink from a glass or mug I tend to lick the drips from the side of the cup or mug. I have no idea as to why I do this, but it is just a habit I have. Do you care to share an odd habit/quirk of yours here for me and others reading this? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Although I have not been officially diagnosed.. I am sure I have RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) My legs are ALWAYS bouncing, shaking, twitching, or otherwise moving. Most of the time, I don't realize I am doing it. It drives everyone around me NUTS

I have a bad habit of putting a straw in mouth and when I am bored and I need to break that habit because my hubby hates that habit. I am sure I have more but for the life of me I can't think of it right now.

I don't have any odd quirks or habits. hahahaha But I am sure if you ask others around me they would say different. I guess I have a touch of OCD in me when it comes to numbers. I have a thing with numbers and I seem to like odd numbers more than the even numbers. I have certain things that I don't like for them to get out of place, not at all. One thing are my pictures that I have out in frames.

I am an even number man. I walk counting my stepos always being sure I start with my left foot as step one. Even numbers have to end on my right foot. Each day I try to end with an even number as mine here also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

hi Grandpa Bob. yes we all do have some odd habits, like me when I am stressed or sitting here typing and make a lot of typos, I find myself grabbing a lock of my hair and chewing on it, I guess I have had this habit for years. My husband used to tease me, and say, " Does that taste good?" Then I would drop the hair and realize how bizarre that looked. I have really tried to break this habit and usually catch myself in time to stop it, but every so often I still find myself doing this. I really know its not a good thing so why on earth do I do it?

Many years ago we had a friend with shoulder length hiar. He had a habit of twisting it around his fingers. Not that odd but..... He washed and or combed his hair nmaybe twice a month only. Now that was an odd individual I say. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

When I eat nuts or popcorn or nuts and bolts I use a spoon. I only do it when I'm at home, I don't ask for a spoon with my popcorn at the movies or anything like that. I just can't stand having greasy or messy stuff on my hands and fingers. I'm sure it looks a little odd when I'm eating a jar of nuts with a spoon but what works works!

My husband has the habit of drinking out of the jug. I hate that habit, he thinks it is okay since it is just me and him living in our home. I guess my quirk is that I eat and like Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. My husband thinks that is strange.

Oh I hate those that drink from the jugs as well. Eevn worse is when they leave less than a half glass in it. It's like, just finish it already if you're drinking it as it is. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have a waistlenght hair and I guess it is indeed a strange habit for me that I keep smelling it. LOL! I also use it to cover my nose when I am on board public transportation especially to avoid scents or smells that are too overpowering. I am also a bit over attentive to my hair because aside from shampooing and putting lots of conditioners on it everyday, I also tend to treat it at most 2x a week just to make sure it is soft and smooth. I guess its my sole claim to vanity.

Okay, Grandpa Bob is going to go back to my hippy days. I had hair to the middle of my back, and I smelled it often as well. If I did not like the smell I'd shampoo and condition it as soon as possible. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

OOPS here I thought it was absolutely normal to lick off the drips from your coffee cup. I was always told it's good to the last drop. I guess what I do that everyone thinks is insane is when I dish up my food I don't want my food items to touch one another. I hate food all mixed up, to me that's a dogs breakfast.

My daughter has caught me with one I never even realized I had. She says I pull my lip up just before I put food in my mouth like I'm baring my teeth. She makes fun of me. I started paying attention to myself and found that, yeah, I do that. Apparently, I'm very averse to getting any food on my upper lip, so I keep it out of the way. That's the only reason I can think of. I've tried to NOT do it and, MAN, it's hard!! And, I never even knew!

I get teased by my family because i eat clockwise around the plate and only one food at a time. I finish one food and go on to the next. ALWAYS save the meat (the best) for last!

Ok, I'm one of those weird ones that doesn't like their food to touch. I work very hard at keeping the beans separate from the coleslaw, or the meat away from the rice. Silly considering it all goes into the same place, but I've been that way all my life. For really drippy foods I even bought myself some of those school lunch trays at a garage sale - they are all divided so food doesn't have to touch and has its own compartment. LOL

right now there is nothing i can think of that is currently going on, but an odd and weird habbit i used to have, and have since stopped, was that i would pinch the skin on my neck, to the point that it would become bruised and red, and would hurt. For some reason i couldn't stop, so i started wearing turtle neck shirts so that i couldn't do it and eventually i was able to stop

lol i pick at the dry skin on my fingers all the time, sometimes it makes it bleed but not very often, everytime i have dry skin, i can't help it, it's like an uncontrollable urge to pick at it, and i have to forcably stop myself from doing it, otherwise it will just go on and on

I'm a clean freak about things that go into my mouth. So, I rinse my plate in between servings at dinner time, even if I'm the one who was eating off the plate. I just don't like putting food over top of a sloppy plate!

I just can't eat my food without some pepper sauce sitting on the table in case I decide i want to use it. And then when I do use peppersauce, it must be hot, hot,hot and burning my mouth.

one thing i couldnt do is lick the side of a cup mug or glass.the very thought makes me feel queasy. When i was younger, living at home with my mum and dad, i would not drink or eat off anything unless i had washed it up myself. even now , i have my own knife, fork and dessert spoon indoors and woe betide anyone who uses them. that includes my special cat mug. when i peg my washing out, it has to be in groups, socks paired together, underwear together, shirts etc., and normally colour co-ordinated! i dont chew my hair, its too short, but 2 years ago, before i had it all cut off, it was nearly long enough for me to sit on. and yes i would twirl my hair on the left hand side only , round and round my finger when i was watching tv or writing. Now i pull my fringe at the front a lot, i think this is to hide my wrinkles hahaha ;-) another weird thing when i was little , i used to pull my eyelashes out . no idea why. it didnt hurt but i would keep on doing it.

more daft things i do, my tea or coffee must be boiling hot when i drink it, not tepid or lukewarm. same when i wash up, water must be boiling , my husband cant understand why i dont scald myself. BUT i cannot stand hot milk on my cereals. i prefer, cranberry juice rather than milk

Hmmm, let's see. Oh! I have a habit of saying 'Hmmm, let's see'. Nah, actually, I used to 'bite' my fork when eating. Apparently, it drove my mother crazy because one day she belted out, "Please, stop biting your fork!" So, I made a conscience effort to stop doing that and it worked. The only odd thing I can say that I do now is to play with my hair. I take a chunk of hair and constantly twist it up, wind it up around my finger, then let it go only to do it again... and again... etc. I was told that was a nervous habit but I think it's more of a bored habit. I need something to do with my hands. I've always been a restless person. I can sit still and watch a movie or something on TV, but I need to be doing something with my hands. Normally, I'll knit, crochet, make jewelry, whatever. But, if the movie is particularly interesting and I want to actually WATCH it as opposed to LISTENING to it, I'll start to play with my hair. Hmmm... maybe that's why I've always liked my hair long? It gives me something to do with my hands! Aha! An epiphany!!! Take care, Grandpa Bob!

Oh, hey! I can tell you one about my husband! Oh, he's full of quirks! LOL He 'cuts' his nails... I'm talking fingernails AND toenails... by picking at them! It drives me batty! His thumbnails are as strong as steel (he has to cut his thumbnails with clippers) and he uses them to pick at his other nails until they split, then he pulls them off in a strip-like thing. One of these days, he's going to pull and it will come off where it's attached to the skin and bleed! I'll just have to give him 'the look' at that point. LOL

oooh good question i couldn't think so i asked my boo and he said the smelling things before i eat or drink them is a little strange. I have a really sensitive nose and can tell when milks a day or two off turning and meats not right just something i've always been able to do so it's become a habit to check everything first. I also have a sesitive stomache so it illimates me getting ill or less ill than if i didn't check. God i sound precious don't i lmao i'm sensitive!!! blah
