Who do you think has more leisure time - men or women? And why do you think so?Often i have heard couple arguing on the matter that you have bundle of free time to watch TV and sleep and I hardly get some time to have silent sleep.... I wonder who is it actually among men or women who on average has more free time?

I think it depends on the individual and his/her responsibilities; not on the basis of gender. If men are doing only office work and rest of the time free, on that basis men are getting more free time. If women are doing only house work, on that basis she may get more free time than men. So I can say it differs from person to person depend on their job.

i think if the woman is married & has children she has less time than the man unless he is real good to help her which he should be.

Yes,that'is right! I think the men have more free time than women. I am a woman and married,I have two daughters, one is three ages, the other is a baby who is three months. At home,I am so busy, cook for my family,do the dishes,do wshing,do cleaning, care my baby....... My husband he comes back from work, sits in the front of PC play games

Good question, but I don't think it's gender related. I think it's the ability to use time wisely and I think it also might vary day by day depending on mood, health, focus, interest, and other factors.

If a person can finish up his job well before time they have more free time. In a couple, if only one person is doing all the work and the other is watching TV, then the other person is not free, he's just lazy to do work or share the work. If two people share the work equally, then they both have equal free time. bourne

Hi there, thanks a lot for your response... Yes i think one more factor for free time availability depends upon time management as well. The best you manage the time, the more you enjoy with your free time....

I think neither men nor women have free time these days, since women are almost at par with men in our modern times they too face the same problems as men. trouble starts when men expect the women to come home from a busy day at work and get straight into the house work while the men relax and watch TV. If both partners are working then both should shoulder all the responsibilities and mutually work out who does what around the house. This way both partners will find enough free time that they could use to spend some time together. Hope this helps, happy myloting.

hey buddy... thanks a lot for your response. Yes i think mutual understanding, a sense of responsibility and respect for each other's work and time may help people to find sometime free for their near and dear ones.

hmm........ That was a pretty much straight forward comment dear, but if they are talkative then they would hardly get some time from talking which they would call as free time.... This reflects good observation and research buddy.......Thanks for your response...

well it is extremely difficult to decide if men or women have more free time. It is actually an individual that matters. men and women work! men and women take care of the household! they do everything! But! Few men and women do not do anything at all! husbands expect wifes to do everything! this way, men are free!!! wifes expect husbands to work! this way women are free! so yea, it all depends individually!

I am glad I am man:) I can see on myself that I have more free or leisure time than my girlfriend. In the morning I can get up later than she has to, because all that make up all women do in the morning. I just take a fast shaver, basic hygiene things and fast breakfast and I am ready to go even sooner than she finish all her "works". Also during the evenings men have usually more free time I thinks, women usually clean up the household and prepare something to eat. I personally try to help my girlfriend with these things as much as I am capable because I do not like to be fuss over I just do not feel comfortable with that. But I think this this comes up from the men and women different nature.

It depends if the man or woman has a kid if the man was a single father then he would have less free time then a woman that don't have a child. If the woman was a single mother than she would have less free time then a man that don't have a child, know what I mean.

actually, it depends on the type of person he/she is...:) the fact that the person knows how to budget his/her time means that she/he has more leisure time or free time.:)
