You visit your doctor and he tells you tht your medical report showed that you have a terminal disease and you do not have long to live. Treatment if any is basically todeffer teh inevigtable by a few months or probably a year or so. Will you immediately tell your partner or you will hide it for as long as possible? I would hide it from my partner as much as i can and let her suffer as little as possible. i will try to give her as much love and happiness in teh remaining days that she remembers the good days and not the suffering. Wht about you?

I would tell my partner about the disease right away. On one hand I would like to protect him from suffering and hide the truth but I would end up telling him anyway. It would be hard for him to hear the truth, but I think it would hurt him even more if he found out later that I had hidden the truth from him. We both need do know how the situation is so that we can deal with it and make the best of it. For instanse if we were planning to travel a lot, then we would both know that we had to do it right now and not in 5 years. Another thing is that he would only be able to support me if he knows about the disease, and I know that I would want and need that support.
