as it did last night when I had a juicy fattening meal after two weeks of dieting!
For two weeks I have eaten nothing but low fat food, deprived myself of chocolate and potato chips, I have exercised 5 nights a week for 30 minutes a time. I promised myself that if I lost weight after the two weeks I was treating myself to a takeaway. So I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost 5 pounds and have lost half an inch off of my waist and hips, yessss!
I had my takeaway and it was the best tasting meal ever, so now I am back on the diet for another two weeks with another target set to reach, and I will be looking forward to my next tasty treat!
Who else is dieting and how are you doing with it?
Do you set yourself targets to reach with a promise of a tasty treat if you reach it?

ive been dieting and busting mah hump for the last 2 years now, so far ive lost 87 pounds and will continue to wittle off another 30 before im finished. and i do same as you, cept in shorter intervals. during the week monday - friday i do the nuts & twigs, high fiber, low fat, low cal routine, and if when i step on the scale come sunday and have lost.. i will reward myself with a hearty breakfast (mal made steak & eggs this week.. yum!) and usually get take-out delivery.. this week it was chinese

*takes a bow* Thanking you kindly! Sitting at computers are not at all good for the phsyique. Having crap health is not good for the physique. I started off the year at a healthy weight, throughout this year I have put at least 9 pounds on, Ive lost 5, so 4 to go!
But you, 87 pounds?? that is excellent and done the best way, steadily so you know that the other 30 will be gone before you know it. I love chinese, I may have to put that on my treat calendar, but next I am having a chicken and lamb kebab in a peshwari naan bread!

I have stopped dieting and have been eating sensibly instead. Depriving myself of things that I like was wreaking havoc on my waistline. Now I eat 3 good meals a day and have healthy snacks in between meals. I don't overdo on the unhealthy stuff, just do it in moderation.

Hi gemini,
wow...5 pounds,,,that is cool!
ANyway, I am trying also to watch what I am eating since I want to get back my previous weight and every morning while watching news, I am also doing my exercise as well as taking very small amount of rice each day since I do love rice really! LOL!
I am not yet successful in my target and I am not also treating myself, maybe that is a great motivation!

Take away food most of the time tastes good to me. I can imagine how good it must taste good after being on a diet, I cant imagine me banning myself from not eating take away food. I only have it once or maybe twice a week depends what time we work til.

ooh i'll bet that takeaway tasted brilliant!!! And it sounds as though you deserved it - well done!! i'm not really dieting at the moment but i do try to watch what i eat, i tend to let myself have a treat at the weekends so i don't get fed up of telling myself i can't have chocolate or anything!! xxx

I did used to go swimming, but stopped recently. I do my own exercise routine to my favourite dance tracks and I really enjoy it.

Most take away food is nasty these days. I love tumbleweed though. they are my favorite kind of food. I think I could even freexe their food and still eat it later.

I am cutting down on fatty foods and staying away from sweets and stuff. It's a slow process but I'm sticking to it this time. Now that I am working more hours I find I am not as hungry as I use to be when I was home and I'm more active too. I've got to do a lot more though.
