Do youngsters these days spend more time on TV?

I am not a youngster anymore... but i notice that more and more young kids are spending less time watching tv... but more time playing video or computer games... my niece prefer to play online games rather than watch tv... she finds it more enjoyable... and if made to choose... she would surely choose the computer rather than the tv...

yes, the younger ones do spend more time on television. even the older ones do. young people can do alot with the use of television. they can play video games, watch dvd movies and television shows (cable shows in particular). but the older ones should be responsible enough to watch over them while doing these things because sometimes, too much, is already bad. we should teach them to prioritize more important things like their homeworks, project, and the like.

Spend time on tv meaning they watch tv?? Or playing of games using the tv?? haha ^_^ I guess majority of youngsters now are spending mosty of their time playing games then watching tv.. haha =D Because i have got frenz just like that.. They can forgo their meals once they start playing, and once they play, it will be more than 10 hrs.. lol =D SOmetimes, they will even play thru the night =D But for watching tv, who will ever have the patience to watch all the way till dawn and not dozing off?? haha

No, i think they spend more time on internet.

young or old, the TV has become the world..so i too have 2 tv's as me and my family watches always different programs as well. i think normally atleast 10 hours one or the other program is being used to be watched on holidays and in normal days atleast 7 hrs.

my little brother watches tv 24/7 lol

Yes. I think alot of them would rather watch tv than eat. They need to go outside and get more exercise and be with friends. alot of them want to stay in the house all of the time though.

No youngsters in my house, but my honey watches tv all day long.
