Why do fries taste so good? Why do they have gift me the choc'late box? Why does my she have to cook so well? I can quit it anytime, its just a matter for wishing it. (on smoking) Do you keep blaming others and continue on the moments of madness and regret later? Most of us do that. The motivation is less and I feel, its only when it should come from within our selves that we would be able to take charge of our health in the true sense. Do you play the blame game or are responsible for your health? Do or do not, there is no try. YODA.

No doubt french fries always taste good due to saltish nature and starch factor. We all are prone to sweet chocolates (I think sweet chocolate and tofees have its genesis in our childhood, we are invariable fed tofees and chocolates when we are kids). I think if our health deteriorate, we ourselves are responsible for the same, I do not blame anybody for my ill health, it is me, who cannot control myself, as far as some fried items are concerned.I agree with you that Yoga and regular exercise are the best options to keep ourselves fit. Good post!!

I blame the scale for my weight. I blame Boyfriend for treating me to that yummy banana ice cream I've been craving for weeks. I blame myLot for taking away my exercise time. I blame Boyfriend again for us eating out. Somehow, he has a way of dragging me to these places that always make me say "I'm full" at the end of every meal. Dang that coffee milkshake! Mother should stop sending food our way. This is actually a fun game! ~I'm actually working on losing some weight again. I tend to fluctuate. I will DO as Yoda says.

Noone but me is responsible for my health...if I don't take good care of myself, there's no one else to blame but me. I'm an adult.....not a baby anywhere where someone needs to tell me what's good for me and what's not. Fortunately, my likes are healthy (though I do indulge in unhealthy foods sometimes) and I also have a strong will that I can make use of. It's not too difficult for me to stop eating what isn't good for me if I make up my mind. See, the control is in my hands and no one else is responsible for my choice.

hi mimipi right, yoda had it absolutely right, do or not do, there is no try, and by gosh thats true. I can blame someone else, but ultimately I am the one who has to either exercise and cut down on calories or stay fat, so its up to me ultimately to get off the chair, exercise and eat the right kinds of foods in the right amounts.

I'm actually not good motivating myself when it comes to foods or drinks! I like iced coffee with lots of whipped cream and caramel on top. Smoking is also one of the worst habit I have, but I saw your respond to my husband about this and thanks for that. And I also don't blame others or food for my health problems I think its all up to me though. Thanks!

I know you are not the blaming kind and know how to ensure proper health. Smoking as you know, is really harmful. Try and quit that and you will be a winner all the day.

Yes fries and chocolates are tempting, but I do not play the blame game.I always try to curb my eating habits because I am very conscious of my health.......I hate to be sick even for a single day....And if at all I succumb to temptation and cross my limits and indulge my taste buds,I tend to make up for it by going for brisk walks afterwards.....

We humans seek ways and means of making what we think makes our lives enjoyable. These though trivial to start off with, be it the french fries, the chocolates, the colas, give us those temporary feelings of enjoyment or a high. These enjoyments become necessities over a time as they become habits.Smoking and drinking are thought to be during those years as things to do associated with being in tune with times or the inthing. The regret comes when there is damage done, sometimes too late. The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken. I would not blame the madness on anyone but myself Mimpi. It's all about resiting temptation. And any reasoning that maybe forthcoming in this regard will always be an excuse, one that shows our weaknesses. It has to be our motivation to do it for ourselves and maintain our health. A friendly reminder once in a while though helps.

Well said! The motivation must come from within and no one can ever do it for us. SElf esteem is an amazing thing! It gets are going no matter what. Restraint is another thing that decides on the esteem. Restraint makes us disciplined and much poised. I hate people who have instant excuses for all things inn life. Why the hell can't they grow up!

Excuses and the Blame game tend to distance people from the uncomfortable consequences of failure, hence it comes out easily. This blame games has two faces, Externalising it; ex: "Obesity is caused by a virus." Internalising it:- ex:"I have no self control, no will power to try and reduce my weight." All this stands in the way of motivation. Restraint, right and positive thinking, motivation from within and then see the difference. It is amazing.

I don't play the blame game at all when it comes to my own health. I am a smoker for one. And I also donlt exercise which is obviously bad! I generally eat quite well but can go on these fast food and other not so healthy food tangents quite regularly as well. But this is all my own doing and no-one lese. No one forces me to be this way! I just choose to not really think too much about it. The only one of these things that does play on my conscience really is the smoking.

You are smart, you know what's bad for you, you still indulge in but you know where to stop. Right? I am glad that you take the responsibilities. Trust me, most pass it on t others! That surprises me! How on earth someone be responsible for your wrong doings! Smoking is one thing that kills for sure and you must refrain from it no matter what. Will you?

Smoking has been one of my toughest adversaries since I was 14 years old mimpi! I have stopped and started a few times already in the past and I do hope to find the will power to consider quitting it again sooner rather than later. I am planning to use my next relocation as the catalyst for change!

I always take responsibility of my actions.. I see to it that what i do is something i would not be regretting in the future.. i eat chocolates and burgers and fries and make sure that when i eat these foods, i would make up for myself and next time eat something healthier:) I smoke, and i don't blame anybody.. i know i can quit.. i can live without smoking for 5 days, and i don't even smoke over the weekends:) it's just that i smoke because i want to enjoy it.. but i know i will be quitting soon.. i don't want to be smoking when i will be having baby:)

I dont play the blame game for my health. I love french fries and chocolates. I have the french fries sometimes and make up for that by not having any other deep fried stuff. Chocolates is something that I just cannot resist. Icecreams and cold drinks is another thing that I cannot resist and I am suffering just now for that....Have a severe throat infection and have not been able to talk for the last 40 hours or so.

Oh BJ I know you never blame others for eating junkies. We are responsible for our health and must restraint ourselves from whatever that comes us and our health. I successfully avoid all food that I shouldn't eat, except choc'lates. They are irresistible. Lucky you, you can afford to eat as many as you want to.

I do think it's a bit unfair that the powers that be decided to make the good tasting stuff bad for us, but it's my decision whether i eat it or not!! I think we all have the choice as to whether we eat healthily or not, although it is not always easy to resist temptation, but as adults we have the responsibility for eating healthily ourselves!! xxx

Munchie resisting temptations and taking charge of your life is the greatest thing one could achieve. It doesn't take much as well. a little bit of self realisation and conviction. And I am sure you have both in plenty.

It is something that its the human nature to play the blame game. I guess its time we take the own responsibility. If I am putting on weight its because I allowed it to do. I ate so much .
