Haider crashed his Volkswagen limousine while drunk and driving at more than double the speed limit while on his way his mother’s birthday party in the early hours of the morning earlier this month.
Do you think that this is a cover up? Was he murdered?

Haider was an Austrian politician, Haider was a long-time leader of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ). Although he stepped down as the FPÖ's chairman in 2000, he remained its major figure until he founded the BZÖ in April 2005. He was subsequently expelled from the FPÖ by its interim leader Hilmar Kabas. He was controversial within Austria and abroad for his "provocative praise of the Nazi era," and the United States State Department criticized Haider for comments that "could be interpreted as xenophobic or anti-Semitic."

There was some specualtion in some circles that it was an assaination. Haider was a strong apponent of the european union as I understand it. He was also dubbed by the press as anti-immigrant and anti nationalist.
It probably bears mentioning that Haider's party, the BZÖ, just recently gained 14 additional seats in the National Council of Austria elections. His former party also gained 13 seats, and both gains resulting in a proportional loss in the majority parties. Haider had barely become party chairman a short time ago. This would undoubtedly be seen by political opponents as a significant cause for alarm.
It doesn't seem far fetched that pro EU incumbents would be worried by such a large shift of popular support towards two anti european union parties to the extent that a few might believe that an extremeist would be ready to assassinate a figurehead like Haider.
