Often if a fruit is out of season but still availabe because it is imported do you pay the extra money to buy that fruit, or do you only buy in season fruits to keep your food budget down?

hello,Lady! It is difficult to manage our life with the limited income as the price of all commodities are at the peak.In this circumstance it is not possible to afford money for fruits and vegetables as per our requirements. So I don't like to put extra pressure on my purse for purchasing off season fruits or vegetables which are definitely available at higher cost in the market.thanx.

I pay extra for strawberries, but that is pretty much it. I really love strawberries so I will splurge on them. Otherwise, I try to buy seasonal fruit. By the end of winter though, I am really tired of apples and oranges.

It depends, But in regular case we do not buy any out of season fruit. It is not only because of the high cost. The taste also will be less in the out of season. And some times they using chemicals to that fruit. But in season we can use more safe and tasty fruits. Happy mylotting

If I was really, really in the mood for a certain fruit I might, but not regularly. I tend to buy what ever produce is on sale when I am at the store. The doctor has told me that I have to eat a banana every day for health reasons, so I guess I would still by bananas out of season, but their price does not really seem to fluctuate that much because they are imported anyways. Great discussion.

I tend not to buy fruits out of season not because of the price but because of the freshness. Keeping fruits in the store cooler takes from the flavor which causes the fruit to lose some of its sweetness! I want fresh fruits for me and my family.
