After reading a list of some of the things that have made everyday life easier I have changed my mind about NASA I have always thought that NASA was a waste of money just going out to outer space and putting up the space station. Just some boys extremely expensive toys but now I see it as so much more. How about cordless tools, water filters, and Adjustable Smoke Detector and here are a few more. Here are some things that NASA has given to us. 1.The satellites. Everything from TV and GPS signals to Google Earth 2.Air-cushioned running shoes, the Nike Air. 3.The light-emitting diode (LED). 4.The infrared ear thermometer. 5.paper-thin, highly reflective blanket 6.Artificial limb technology 7.The heart pump. 8.Video enhancing and analysis. 9.Anti-icing systems. 10.Solar panels. 11.the technique of cutting grooves in roads and runways to remove water has dramatically cut hydroplaning accidents. 12.Better sunglasses. 13.Remote-controlled tractors with GPS systems 14. Bio detectors. A bacterial spore detector 15.Wireless electrical switches 16.Liquid metal used in baseball bats and hockey sticks to a luxury watch from TAG Heuer. 17.Synthetic vision 18.Cellphone commander intelligent” stove that can keep food cool until being told to start dinner by cellphone. 19.Bunker snooper. robots used by U.S. troops to clear caves and bunkers and to seek out IEDs. 20.Better tires 21.Better golf balls 22.Firefighter gear. The lightweight breathing system, including the face mask, frame, harness and air bottle, uses an aluminum composite developed for rocket casings. 23.Art protector. 24.Warm fingers and toes. Battery-powered thermal boots and gloves 25.Hang gliders 26.Better braces. For the teeth 27.Fire watchers. 28.Cleaner goggles 29.. Cleaner air. 30.Speedo swimsuits. 31Home blood pressure kits 32Freeze-drying technology. 32Memory foam. 34Better computer software And there is more so check them out at thttp://www.ajc.com/metro/content/printedition/2008/10/12/nasa.html This just a few. I was surprized at some of the thing that are a result of NASA

Thanks for the heads up I didn't realize that they were 50 and I didn't know that they had as much influence on these many different technologies. Thanks
