I don't know what it's understood by "pickle" in English: all types of vegetables conserved in fluids (mostly salted fluids), or only the not riped fruit of tomato conserved in that way?
I've eaten a type of food made of this type of green tomato pickles, cooked in an oven with tomato juice and garlic, if I remember right, and it was pretty good.

Wow, I've never heard of fried pickles! While I can now tolerate salty foods better, I don't know if I want to venture that far with them, yet. But, I definitely believe you when you say they're addictive.

I like dill pickles myself, especially kosher dill pickles and I'm not even Jewish. As for the fried pickles, cannot have any. Trying to watch my weight and I am close to diabetes and do not want to go over the edge. You have better be careful. What do they taste like?

I guess they are dipped in a real light batter and then deep fried like french fries. They are quite good. You still taste the dill pickle the most.

Oh my gosh. I can't believe there is someone else addicted to fried pickles. I LOVE them! Well, I actually love all kinds of pickles, but that is beside the point. I first tried them at a cajun restaurant near where I live and I was immediately hooked. If you are looking for additional places to find them, I know that Hooters serves them if you have one of those near you. :)

I guess they would be, because cucumbers are a vegetable so if you eat fried pickles ,i would think they would be a vegetable...I love fried pickles & fried jalepeno's too, they are sooooooo good...We will call them a vegetable so we can eat them ..haha...Really how bad could they actually be????

Fried pickles? I've never heard of them. lol I would think they would be a vegetable regardless of the frying although they are probably more fattening.

Never had them and never heard of them. There isn't much left after the pickling process to a pickle, I would never think to fry one. My husband says they taste like pickled squash sort of. What do they taste like?
