What is your favorite Holiday and Why?

I was talking with my daughter about the upcoming holidays and it got me thinking about all the holidays we celebrate and which ones are my favorites and it got me wondering about my friends here on mylot. So I'll start it off: Christmas is my favorite holiday and the reason is because I love everything about the season and spirit of the holiday. I start listening to Christmas music when it gets closer to Thanksgiving. My favorite song is by Barbara Striesand "The best gift" it reminds me of my daughter. She was my best gift 26 years ago 8 days before Christmas. I love the atmosphere of picking out that special tree to decorate. We decorate our entire house. I also love the meaning of a simple gift, it's the thought that counts. Jesus was born on this day. It's a celebration of his birth. It's not about getting gifts. If you are lucky someone thought about you, then it's the thought that counts the most. Ok so what about you? What is your favorite holiday and why?
