At first I thought it was unfair then I read the article. They will be taxed if they do not go and have the physical done, and begin to take steps to improve things. If they just wanted to charge people because they were overweight that would be wrong. But since it is just a requirement to get screened and get your health under control.

I think it is a good idea. Obesity, like smoking and other bad habits cost us millions each year in related costs for healthcare. Why not let the ones causing these costs pick up the check? If they don't want to pay the tax, let them do something to get in shape. If smokers don't want to pay the tax, let them quit smoking. It is as simple as that...
