My exercise of choice

There are so many exercises we could do. But there isn't too many that I could do personally, having broke my hip 7 years ago. I really would love to jog, but that would be very hard to do. I've tried it, and a bounce means pain. So I've given up on that or more strenuous exercise for walking. I can walk fast and get good exercise that way. It is recommended to walk for at least 3 times a week. A good brisk walk is better than just getting out and walking. I also found out by reading that there are different guidelines for exercising for adults over 65. http://walking.about.com/od/fitness/a/exerciseover65.htm We have a treadmill, but right now, it's broken. We hope to get another one soon. I know I can still walk on the treadmill which would be nice during bad weather.

You are right. It is very important for all of us to stay active. It's really good for our heart muscle. I really mean good and want to walk, but I hate to get out by myself, because if I fell, nobody would be there to help. And I do love to swim. I wish we had built the swimming pool that we almost built when our kids were still home. My husband says we are too old now.

I know when I take the time to walk it is really helpful, I just do not do it often enough right now. I need to not let it slide as winter is approaching. I like to walk on treadmills, I like water exercise. Weight training seems to get really great results. I think, however, my exercise of choice right now should be cleaning the house. I will follow that link you sent in a little bit, but I am on my way to work at the moment.
