Had a boss whose last name was Putz and her dad's name was Richard but he went by D*ck.* She told me once somebody called to have him paged and they thought it was a prank call. Another friend called up the zoo and asked for L E Funt (elephant). Got any good prank call stories? Or stories that people though were pranks but really weren't? *look at this, the man's name violates guidelines!

Yeah...I was reading about once this woman couldnt find her husband who was named richard as well, but went by the name Rich... and they were both in a grocery store, so she went to the desk and asked them to page him, and the person had to ask over the intercom "Is there a Rich Hooker in the store? Your party is waiting for you." (Hooker was their last name...)

This happened to me back in my married days. The phone rang and when I picked it up theres a child on the end that sounded about 7 years along and sounded like some other little kids were listening in. There was a bunch of giggling. She asks "Is your refrigerator running?" I said "No, its right here with me. We are playing cards" I guess it didn't go through to her because she still said "well go catch it!!" haha

Great story. I also have some such name, which instantly garner laughter or looks like prank.
