I use a touch pad and mouse, but i noticed that prolonged use of mouse cause strain on my palm, the carpal tunnel syndrome as they say, but when i use the touch pad, i dont feel the same strain on my hand but i am slower in my work. How about you? which human interface device do you prefer to use?

I used to think touchpads sounded like a great idea, but after using one for awhile on my laptop I realized a mouse is much more efficient.

To navigate in general Touch pads are better but for gaming you must use a normal mouse.

thats correct, gaming with the touch pad as controls is not a good idea, some functions do not execute on the pad.

I am so used to using my laptop that I now prefer to use a Touchpad. However, I can use the optical mouse just as easily. The only thing that I hate about using a mouse is if it has a ball instead of a laser. A mouse that uses a ball is sometimes hard to use after a while.

I prefer mouse rather than touchpad. It is making me slower when using touchpad on laptop thats why I bought a separate mouse to be use in laptop. Happy mylotting!!

I would prefer if there was some way to get a voice command that will work. I have issues with my wrist from an old work injury. However there are real bad side effect to using touch screens. Look up the term "gorilla arm" and you find what I mean.

well i like to eat while using the computer, thats why i prefer touch screen, voice commands are not yet widely used in my country, the most common human interface device is the mouse, touch pad, and touch screen. What are these programs that can use voice command? would you mind sharing us what hardware and software we need to do that?
