I sometimes wonder about myself!

This morning I got up came her, felt guilty, did my chores, came back here and then, in a fit of "I know that there's ice on the ground but let's spring clean" I decided to clean our bedroom and the landing carpets. This then turned into a quick once over of the lounge and hall carpets too. As an incentive I promised myself a nice warm cup of coffee when I finished, and a few more minutes here. Passing through the kitchen at one point to empty the carpet cleaner I filled the kettle and put it on. A few minutes later, having carefully cleaned the carpet cleaner and put it away, not without much huffing and puffing I can tell you. I then poured my coffee. (Instant cos that's mostly what we drink over here.) I thought that it was taking it's time to dissolve. I added the milk and came and sat down here. Leaning back I took my first long mouthful. It was cold!! I'd forgotten to switch the kettle on! Do you have days like this?

Most definitley p1ke, I too drink coffee but prefer it made in a cafetiere, once or tice recently instead of putting the coffee in the cafetiere I have put it the cup!!! Thankfully though I hadn't made the coffee before realizing the ground coffee was in the cup...littleowl

Boy do I ever..although for me it is forgetting to plug the coffee pot on and so I am waiting for the water to run through I come on here get online and after a few minutes go in to fix me a much needed cup of coffee only to find it hadn't even drizzled through yet. So I just go back to my computer room to wait again this time knowing it was plugged up and on. My husband keeps unplugging things.

Yes, that happens to me too. Though it is not the coffee maker that i forget to turn on because i don't have one. It is the rice cooker that i forgot to turn on, good thing that i went back to the kitchen to get my cup of coffee because i am going to read my favorite book. Then i noticed that its red light is off, so i checked and found out that i didn't turn it on.

Oh yes, and to think that i have cooked my girls' favorite dish and no rice to go with it..hahaha. Guess i have no excuse for that, except that maybe i must be growing old. Well, i have just turned 50 last Sunday, another year into my age and maybe much more disasters like that.... hahaha

I do...
Yesterday when on cellphone, I forget about my soup on the stove.
Smoke alarmed was not even working, so my pot is burned...
I don't know what I was thinking....

Such validation to hear that others have days like that. Thanks, p1ke.
My weren't you the over achiever today? I seriously need my carpets cleaned again. I got a headache from the last time I had it done (chemicals didn't agree with me) so I am putting it off.
I hope you finally ended up with a propper cup of java. @peedielyn (1207)

I have them all too well! I did that with the shower. I turned the spigot on and went to answer the phone and forgot the water was running. I hung up, got into the shower and pulled the tab to start the shower--ICE COLD water! One day, after chasing the kids around the house, cleaning everything in sight, and fighting with the neighbor to use MY own lawnmower I went into the house to use the potty. I again, heard that stupid phone ring and flushed the toilet and answered the phone. I realized that I hadn't even used the potty and still had a new roll of Tissue in my hand to refill the Tissue holder. I do it everyday! I think I need a coffee break once about every 5 minutes.

Every day. My head is very fluffy these days and I often forget to turn the kettle on or forget to make the coffee when it boils. Sometimes it takes me several goes and a reminder from my partner to get back on track.
I would forget my head if it was not nailed on.

Hey Pike! lmao! I have done that many times! I have
forgotten to turn the flame on too! But I don't think
that I have gotten as far as you did to taking a drink!
You poor thing! You did all that work and wanted that
cuppa so bad and that was the reward you got! I hope
you spit it out and made yourself a nice cuppa HOT
coffee! You at least deserved that much for all that
cleaning that you did! Poor p1kef1sh!

It leaves the carpets fairly dry. The machine is very lightweight and a Bissell Quickwash. It['s not great for heavy staining though. That requires an industrial strength cleaner. But if you just want the much shifted and for them to smell sweet. The Bissell will do the job.

Awww, don't worry, you're not the only one, if you remember (which you won't do if your memory's anything like mine) a while ago I posted a discussion saying that I even forget that I'm going to the toilet. So I say, don't worry about it. Just put it down to a 'senior moment' and stick to cold drinks in future. :)

Of course I do. The worst so far was on Monday when I it took about 5 minutes for me to work out that the reason the deodorant wasn't sprayng was because it was toothpaste. Can you come and do my cleaning while you're in the mood? Mr Croc will make your coffee.

I have days when I am forgetful. Its not the first time when I'd forgotten to switch on the kettle or else I go to open my car without any keys because I would have forgotten at home. © ronaldinu 2008

Everyday my energetic friend...everyday. But leave out the bits about the landing....I don't have a landing. I don't have a carpet cleaner either so leave that bit out too. I have a vacuum cleaner but it collects dust by itself...doesn't really count does it.
Cold coffee....yep, now you're in my territory....everyday.

hi pikey oh Ihave had days like that when I get really busy
and zoned in on getting the job done. While I was cleaning
I put on a saucepan of water to heat for spaghetti. Well I got all through, put my broom, mop and dustpan away, and got out
the spaghetti. why istnt the water boiling yet? I looked at it, and it was stone cold. oh my G I had forgot one thing, to turn on the gas burner. dah1 I felt really really stupid. So did the obvious thine, tuned on the burner, then sat down to wait for
the water to come to a boil. Seems it wasnt my day for multitasking at all. I used to be able to do three things at once lol lol lol.
