Things happen to you. My car broke down yesterday. The water pump had to be replaced. In short the mechanic labour and parts totaled to 358 Euros. Grr.. I really hope that an unexpected cheque comes in from somewhere. Why do such things happen to you when you are pressed hard for cash? © ronaldinu 2008

I don't know why it happens, but it never fails, something will go out about the time your short on cash, either with your vehicle or something at home will go out. Thats life I guess....

Hi there ronaldinu It does always seem to be that way but I hate to tell you that things tend to come in threes, so don't expect this to be your last financial payout!!

Hi ronaldinu, I can agree with you here as I find the same thing happening. Since retirement we have a fixed income and there is very little left over. Last month our car broke down and had to be repaired, this month we had to buy a new stove. You never know what is going to happen next, and it seems to happen when you have very little money to spare. I would love to get an unexpected cheque too. We have to live one day at a time and expect that things will work out well. Blessings.

It tends to happen that way, doesn't it? Just when you think you are cruising along getting some savings put away, things start going wrong! We've had to replace lots of things during the past six months - and a couple of weeks ago our son's car needed expensive repairs, so we had to help him out as well. I hope your car has a good run now for a while so you can save up again!

Exactly!! lol =D Whenever i have the spare cash to spend, i always ended up with nowhere to spend the money.. BUt when i used up all my money, and that especially when i'm waiting for pay day, all my bills will start to haunt me, and that most of them are red bills.. lol =D Other than that, insurance agents will be chasing me for payments, and that all of a sudden, i seem to be in debt, which is so different as compared to just 1-2 weeks ago.. hehe

It really happens! Not only to you but to anyone. Maybe it happens because God wants to test your patience. Sometimes...when cash is short it's when someone in the family gets sick or it's when an important home appliance is broken. Now...in your case...it was your car. Anyway, relax! I'm sure you could get over that!

I think it also has something to do with one being aware that he or she needs that money and money is tight. When one has no financial problems or issues, they barely think twice about how much they spend on things they buy or how much something needs to be fixed. Good luck, ronaldinu.

ha ha ha where will you get th unexpected cheque? Want me to send you one? I wonder if i can as my account balance too is in the red. Wish icould help you out. That is the case with most of us middle class people we live from day to day. We live comfortably but not lavishly. It offten happens that when you have the maximum expenses, things alwasy go wrong. Your care will develop a snag, your child willhave a fee due, the stock market will take a dip etc. This is life.

Oh yes and there is truth to the saying "when it rains it pours". Seems like if one thing happens there is sure to be another right behind it. Good Luck and at least you know you are no the only one that this happens too.

I am sorry to hear that things are so tight for you. I have often wondered why things just seem to keep piling up. Every time I think we are about to get ahead financially, something happens to screw that all up! In my case I think it might be God's way of telling me, "See you should save the extra money that you make for emergencies, then later on you will not have the same problem all over again!" My mama can pinch the copper off of a penny and she is always able to make things work out. My daddy on the other hand is the exact opposite. He will spend every dime he gets his hands on. I am stuck somewhere in the middle of the gene pool on that one. I do tend to waste money on frivilious things when I have extra. I need to learn to save it instead of spending it! I do hope that the unexpected cheque arrives for you!

That seems to be the way it always happens for us to when we have the money everything runs smoothly then when your tight for cash is when it all hits the fan.

hi ronaldinu Why is a goodquestion? I think it has to do with the rule of three, thats what we called it when I worked in the hospital as a nurses aid. We would have three major surgeries in a row, or three bad baby deliveries in a row,or three unexp ected deaths in a row, or three emergencies in a row then things quieted. so with bad luck also, you have two bummers, you have one more coming lol.My son was out of work, no.1,our rent was 2 months overdue no2, my bank account was overdrawn, no3. so now its time for some good luck. So its time for you to get that check for good luck. lol. smile be happy.

I agree the more hard pressed you get for cash the more bad things seem to happen to you because you do not have the money to pay for whatever happened and I know there are times when my parents are a little hard on cash between paydays and a lot of car problems and things happen which puts them even harder pressed for cash between paydays, and I remember one time my brother was hard pressed for cash and he got his hours cut,and then on the way home, his transmission gave out,and he had to get another transmission put in which took quite a bit of time, and money, and he was out of a car for a while.

The same just happened to me. I brought my car to a mechanic for a strange noise and it could have cost me anywhere from $600-3,500 USD, depending on what it was. I did not have the money and was so upset. I prayed to God to help me with this and low and behold, He did. It turned out much less and on top of that, a money opportunity just came to us for another prayer that I had. We owe over $2,000 in real estate and school taxes and just do not have it. Also, my husband's car desperately needs it repaired or replaced. It is due by the end of the year and we were worrying about how we would get the money. I prayed for help. Now, we live on 19.3 acres of wooded land and I saw a sign for a forester who was looking to buy trees. I called up and they are buying close to 100 trees from us, enough money to pay the taxes and get his car repaired or replaced. Whenever I think to ask for help, I get help. Try it. I say, "Lord, I put this problem in your hands. I cannot do it without you. Please find a way for us to pay this bill."

Hi ronaldinu, It comes in threes and always when you don't have the money, don't worry it will get better, you see. Tamara

Tell me about it!I experience the same pattern, the moment I start to worry about money things will start going wrong. I needed to replace my computer after my old one froze up on me just as I sat down and worked out a budget. I get down about finances and I have to wonder whether I am giving out negative vibes or something, because it seems that when things go wrong it just snowballs from one thing to another and if generally involves money I don't have. Maybe we need to work on being more positive, who knows...
