If someone hurt you, would you give them a second chance? How about criminal do they deserve a second chance? Well if someone hurt me or made me feel bad would I give them a second chance? Honestly... It depends on how bad they hurt me, how many times they hurt me, and how close we are. Criminals on the other hand thats depends on what crime was committed. Please share your thoughts on this one.

ya, it depends but i always give a second chance.i wil also take the situaton that lead him/her to do the crime under consideration.. because sometimes they dont have a choice... but for a hired killer, i dont think there is any need for giving a second chance...anyway i always give second chance by saying "learn from ur sin frd"....happy lotting

Of course, everyone deserves a second chance! What type of second chance is up to u, meaning, what extent or how much leeway u would allow for a person to redeem him/herself! Taripre$

No problem! Second chances are always great to see if the person just made a mistake and is willing to correct it and show u they meant no harm!! Taripre$

I'm all for giving second chances. Some people have actually told me that I'm too soft hearted because of it (I give 3rd and 4th chances too). But I'm like you when it comes to criminals...it depends on the severity of the crime as to whether they deserve to be given that second chance.

i aggree with you ! and what's more,if the one you love hurts you,you always tend to forgive him or her. me for instance,we hadn't meet each other for two years, but during that time we got little contact.he didn't care much about me.everytime i felt hurt,i decided to give him another chance... so i was in an unhappy relation for two years! but... i still miss him, even it was me who said goodbye.

Well it depends on how much that person has hurt me and how close we are..like you just said.I would probably give a second chance but it won't be the same kinda relationship/friendship as before. And for criminals,if its a major crime then nope.Major or minor,a crime is a crime,so it really depends on how much damage has been done by that particular crime.

I think I am not a broad-heart man.If someone hurt me ,perhaps I forgive him ,more possible not. The major point is what extent did he hurt me and after then his attitude to me.If he is my lover ,I have the ghost of the change of getting me forgive, because he is my the most important people who received my ture love. If he is my friend ,I maybe choose forget that thing which he hurt my heart.

That really depends on who hurt me & what they did to hurt me. I've had people hurt me over & over & over & over, but I've given them chance after chance & we're still friends because of it. Then there are just some people...who don't even deserve a first chance. That might seem abit harsh but sadly it's the truth. I have a really insane messed up story I could tell on here but...well...it's a little to personal so I won't...but no, not everyone deserves a second chance.

Hi ginnypetree, I feel that everyone deserves a second chance after all, who doesn't make a mistake sometime? I have been hurt in the past but in most cases the person didn't realize that it was going to have the affect that it did. I can forgive because I know that it is always what's best for everyone. Most criminals also deserve a second chance, but there are some that have to be kept away from society for the safety of others. Blessings.

It is wonderful how people learn, grow and change when they give people another chance, or say, when they are the one's given another try. It is an awesome feeling when someone trusts us to make things right if we didn't get it the first time or watch everything turns into their appropriate places when we give chance for others to do it. In short, it is good to give second chances and it is good to be given of that as well. However, not everyone deserves it. We, as humans, has this certain instincts to gauge if a person is worthy enough to receive such valuable chance. This also depends on different circumstances. Most importantly, on how a certain person defines what we call "second chances" and how this person justifies "the reason" why it should be given or not. Thanks for the discussion.

well it depends but in most cases i had in this kind of situation, i do experience second chances. whether i give it or i was given by someone. it's really hard to have or give it out because it means a lot of work and trust at the same time -- no matter what's the situation is.

Hi ginnybetree, Well it depends on the what the person has said or done to me, but I maybe able to forgive them but I will never forget, and as for criminal, it depends on the crime he commited and don't know if I could gorgive or forget. Tamara

yes, i do believe everyone deserves second chances. But my actions don't really follows. whenever someone hurts me specially if he/she is my friend, our friendship will never be back the normal way again ones destroyed. most of the time, i wont make friends with that person again and if ever that will happen, there will really be a gap between us. i can say that accepting the apology is my way of giving the person the second chance.

Everyone deserves a second chance, but few utilise the second chance to recover from the lows they have fallen to. They more often than not misuse the second chance and prove that they did not deserve it. If a person is genuine and has made a mistake out of ignorance or out of frustration, he cn improve once given a second chance but not a habitual offender.

Its just my opinion, not mean to hurt someone. That crime just a tool introspecting by myself. What's wrong have I did at the past time. Sometimes God remind us from that way. So I take more careful on attitude and behavior later.

I think i would give them a second chance, after all to err is human.i know i am not perfect and i might have hurt others and when people are nice and do not make a big deal of my mistakes, the least i can do is to treat others in the same manner:)

You can say that everyone deserves a second chance, but i'm dont agree with that. When someone would hit me, and he would have some decent reasons for that at the moment, I wont give him a second chance before its completely out of my mind. And at criminals it really depends on what they've done, and what there status was (Was the person sober, not influenced by treats of others), and what degree of crime it was, cause murder or some little shoplift will be different, for murder I wouldn't give a second chance fast, anyways not 100% pure freedom, but they shouldn't be put in a tiny jail for the rest of their live to. And for shoplift they should be punished, but offcourse be forgiven, and when someone does make multiple mistakes, and it doesn't looks like its going to be get any better, then I wouldn't feel like giving more chances.
