What's your favorite quotation on love?

Inspired by a newcomer's (sjpprez) post on "success quotations," I thought of asking you, fellow myLotters about your personal ("unique"!) definitions of love as well as some famous quotations on love that you would like to share.
An example of a unique love definition would be "Love is like a bubblegum, hard to peel." I got it from a 13-year-old student. :)
One of my personal favorites is that of Kahlil Gibran: "Make not a bond of love; Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls."

A few of my favourite quotes:
The quickest way to receive love is to give love
The fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly
And the best way to keep love is to give it wings
What most people need to learn in life is how to love people and use things instead of using people and loving things
It is possible to give without loving, but it is impossible to love without giving.
