How soon can I decorate for Christmas without folks thinking that I'm crazy???

I'm planning to do it the day after Thanksgiving, which is getting pretty close to my due date. But, if I can, I'd like to do it sooner. I've never really heard of anyone doing it before Thanksgiving, but I'm really excited about it I guess.

HA! HA! i'm with you......i'm ready to put our tree up RIGHT NOW! but then my girlfriend looks at me like i'm nuts......she's made me promise to wait until Thanksgiving this year. in your case i guess it depends on how others in your house feel about it.......but personally i say GO FOR IT! Early Happy Holidays to you.

Oh thank God I am not the only one who feels this way. You know, I think I might just go ahead and put it up. lol. My husband will come home from work and see it, and he might think that I have lost it. No, he knew what he was getting into when he married me. But when I have company they might be like hmmm...lol.

well, the way i look at it, Christmas only comes once a year so we might as well stretch it as long as we can.

I think anytime after Nov 1 is sufficient..i mean if the stores can have Christmas stuff for sale before Halloween arrives, why cant we put up decorations..lol. I usually dont do it til first week of December, but its out of laziness..lol. This time though i think im doing it by end of the first week of November..i think..lol maybe..lol

I went ahead and put mine up yesterday, but I have not decorated it. It took me longer than I thought it would, I guess b/c I'm pregnant and have a cold.

I put my docor. up the first Monday of November, but this year we will wait to the 2nd Monday because I have way to much going on the first Monday, unless i do it that night when the kids are in bed, but i dont think my husband will want to help lol!

I think you need to wait until after Thanksgiving. I would always wait until I am done enjoying Thanksgiving to start setting up the tree and decorations. I even leave some of the Thanksgiving decorations up for Christmas. The more the merrier, huh?

Hi there, in the Philippines, most people are already decorating their homes for Christmas and we don't think they're crazy. Some people also put up decors as early as September when the BER months start. When stores sell Christmas stuff in September, then some people are already buying and why wait? For me though, i'm planning to decorate on the first week yet because I don't like dust accumulating on the decors. We're in the tropics that's why. And at home, I always put up Christmas stuff right after thanksgiving in the Church and also with the Advent season.
