My hubby made bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning. He made plenty of eggs. He hands me a plate. It had 2 strips of bacon on it. I took both strips. I didn't feel like eggs. So he and my daughter shared the eggs. The problem is I didn't know he only prepared 3 strips of bacon. Do you think I should have asked? Or should he have made bacon?

Unless three strips were all that you had in the fridge, he should have made more, since he was cooking for three people. I can not imagine someone cooking one strip of bacon per person. Maybe, if you saw that there were only three strips, you could have asked if there was more in the fridge, then cooked additional strips. So, my question is, who got the last piece

I'm sure your husband could make more bacon if he really needed it.

Only three pieces for all three. My hubby has to have atleast 3 for breakfast and most restaurant give 2 pieces. Well since they got to share your eggs I guess that made up for the not having the bacon. But he did put the two stripes on your plate so you shouldn't think anything of only eating them.

I think he should have fixed more for everyone to have to eat. You had only assumed he did that already.

I am not crazy about bacon or eggs, I don't normally eat either. The other day hubby made bacon and eggs, but I had a BLT instead. I never make bacon myself, cuz I don't normally eat it unless hubby's home, and then he'll make it. He always makes a ton because he and the kids will eat so much of it. I never have to worry about if there will be enough.

When I want certain things in portions I separate them, he give you the choice and did not stop you from eating them so to me is fair game.

I would not get away with that in this house. My kids love bacon. They each have at least 2 strips of bacon when I cook it. I would have just figured that was the amount of bacon he was expecting me to take. I guess next time he should make it more clear or make more bacon.
