passion. Or they have passion, but they're restraining it. How did you find your passion? Or did you find it yet? What helped you get your passion or what keeps you from expressing your passion? By passion, I mean joie de vive, JOY OF LIFE! Can you express your joys, fears, determination, etc.? I do know that we need to restrain ourselves a little bit, don't want to hurt people's feelings, but are you too restrained? Or not restrained enough? Most people are probably wherever they need to be right now. What keeps you from being the passionate writer you can be, or what has brought out the passionate writer in you?

I am not doing all I can, because I let some work related rejection crush my spirit for awhile. It will come back. The other thing that stands in my way is a lack of organization. My husband has tons of confidence in me, so I will keep on, and I will succeed.

Work can be a Spirit Crusher, but you and I know you're cool, terrific, etc. Like you said, you'll get your Spirit back.
Organization seems to be a problem for the three of us. Oh well, we'll figure that out some day. Take care.

Hmmm.... it's funny though. I used to love writing. I consider it an outlet for all my frustrations. However, when I started working as a writer, my job as a writer has ironically turned into the greatest hindrance to my passion. I'm all so worked up writing things for my clients (who have ridiculous demands sometimes especially when it comes to keyword density) that I no longer have the drive to write my own original content when I have the time. I noticed my blogs have become shorter compared to the ones I used to write before i had this job. But, well, I need this.
I agree though. As long as people write about their passions, their outputs will always be fantastic! That's because they have the interest and they truly enjoy what they are doing.

I think being forced to do something and having an overload in output can make you dislike almost anything. I loved reading, but the semester in college where I had to read a ton of stuff, yuck. Didn't read for a long while after that. But if you're passionate, writing does flow and become more of a joy, without passion, it can truly be a chore. Thanks and take care.

I have always had a dream of becoming a published author... since I was a teenager. It wasn't until I developed fibromyalgia 12 years ago that I seized the opportunity to follow my dream. The biggest step I took was joining a writing group. Because of that I have received lots of feedback, gone to workshops and seminars, met some award-winning authors, and have put more time and effort into reaching my dream. I have a passion for writing. I think it's always been there. When my father passed away my sister's eulogized him as being a man of words, including writing. I knew he was quite the comedian but I never thought of him as a writer. My one sister said it was because of him that I became a writer... Wow! I didn't even know it!
My father has continued to contact me from the other side, pushing me to accomplish my dream. I will not let him down or myself.

fibromyalgia is rough, but the great thing about it is that you have to find a passion to even get out of bed in the morning. I was really bad for awhile, I found a Naturopathic Dr. in VT that gave me a lot of ginseng and I started taking the supplements 1 hour before I needed to get up. Worked really, really well.
My Dad was pretty funny, too. I wish I had written down some of this stuff. My Mom is gone, too. Wish I had written some of the stuff she said down, too. But she was seldom funny. When she was, she made up for lost time. Thanks and take care.

I love to write about activism and politics. Typical things, like trees and sunsets, don't really do anything for me. Although, they're supposed to be poetic inspiration for humanity. I guess I'm not your typical human. But I love, as I said, to write poetry about atypical poetry subjects.

Hey, everybody's different. That's why the world is a cool place. If we all got off on trees and sunsets, who would speak out for activism and politics?

I'm firm believer in enthusiasm and I hope it shows in some of my writing. It can help the reader to have a positive response to a subject, and can give them some encouragement, or even change their view about something.
I write with passion on both my blogs. I am more disciplined when writing articles, but even article writing can benefit sometimes from enthusiasm.
I often express my love of life in my responses at myLot, and on one of my blogs I write mostly about life, always in a positive way.

I am a very passionate person especially when it comes to my life and others who I care about, but I do find it difficult to write about these people and myself even using characteristic for characters. And trust me I definitely have a strong base of character types in my life. I have learned over the years to think before I speak and have found out that I can pretty much see where something will lead so I can prevent hurt feelings, but at the same time I did overkill on it and I have squelched my voice.
I know I am a writer because I see stories everywhere. I ask a lot of questions and I can see both sides of everything. I know my voice is lost because I have a lot of responsibilities that wear me down so when I do get a chance I try my best to write.
Currently I am working on a story that I can see progressing and it is inpired by someone I know. So hopefully this time it will keep going.
So I guess you can say i do have an issue with expressing these things and I am trying to get that joy back into my life.

Yes, verbally, we need to be cautious and even with our interactions on Mylot because these are human interaction communications.
I think one day you will get passionately lost in your writing. Many people loose themselves because of life, but writing often can help them to have passion at least in one area and maybe even more. Thanks for your response and wonderous future to you.

I've never considered myself a writer. Can do ok on myLot but don't think my articles written for Hubpages have been anything special. What I like to write about don't appeal to many people. They are: adoption and crafts. I was adopted as a baby and love to work on crafts. My 3 prize possessions are our daughters and now their children. Can only talk/brag about the family so much and then everyone gets turned off. To start a discussion about our almost 4 yr. old grandson and the funny things he says to me on the phone would only bore others. My imagination is rather wild but it's difficult to put my thoughts in writing at times.

I don't know. There seems to be a good number of people who are grandmothers here at mylot. I've seen one or two topic people here, so yes, that would be rough. Maybe there is a grandma discussion group somewhere. Take care

It seems a little strange to call myself a "writer" yet I've been writing since I was in high school. I am not sure it is a passion. But I will say that since I discovered Helium and Associated Content, I've been writing alot. Writing doesn't come all that easily for me, I have to work at it. Sometimes, I have to stop working on one writing project and go to work on another, just to give my brain a break.

I think we all have to take breaks. Did you see the new Helium now? More money if you have writing stars and rating stars.
What I meant by passion is feeling behind what they write. Some people write even the most emotional topic like robotic manuals.
How is Associated Content going?
Thanks and take care.

Yes, I noticed the money "flying" out of the pot of gold on your avatar. That's pretty neat.
I haven't noticed that Helium has again re-adjusted down what they pay the writers for "hits." They keep changing it up and providing new ways to pay writers, which I actually like quite a bit. I guess I don't pay close attention to it on a day to day basis. I have been trying to rate for 15 to 30 minutes most days. Good luck at hub pages.
