I adore tropical islands with white sandy beaches and waving palm trees. I adore feeling the warm sunshine in the day and seeing the sunsets in the evenings. At night time I like to have a soft ocean breeze and hear the waves splash against the shore. I love to go snorkeling to see colorful coral and friendly fish. I have been to St Lucia, Fiji, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Samoa, the Maldives and the Seychelles.
Would you like to go to a tropical island?
If so which one?
Would you enjoy relaxing or having an adventure?

I took a trip to Fiji and Tonga. It was THE most amazing trip I have ever had. I love tropical weather, I like the people there, and I would go there again anytime :)

I have been to Fiji and I loved it there. I imagine Tonga is really lovely too. My favorite country is Samoa. It has palm fringed beaches, an interesting culture and an unspoilt landscape. Yes, the people are incredibly friendly in Fiji. I live far from that part of the world but I would so love to go back there.

I come from a tropical Island called Sri Lanka. Its comparatively smaller than some other Island nations but got a lot to offer to a tourist. Beautiful beaches, clean seas with coral gardens, mountains, lakes, rivers, water-falls, rain forest, wild life parks (including elephants), safaris, tea plantations, historical places dating back as far as 2000+ years, Buddhist shrines and temples (including ancient cave temples), adventure sports like white-water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, trekking, etc., water-sports like skiing, jet-skiing, etc. and much more! There are fabulous hotels in great locations and also the budget type of lodging which you can find if you refer "Lonely Planet". Some of the "boutique" hotels though a little pricey, are just unbelievable. Certain hotels which are located in proximity of jungles and forests are havens for bird watchers where you can see dozens and dozens of varieties of beautiful tropical birds. If you visit this country during Spring season, you will be amazed at the gorgeous tropical flowers that bloom in this country. The physical attributes are not the only beautiful things this Island haas to offer, but the people themselves as well. You will find Sri Lankan people wearing a smile on their faces all the while even though the country is going through some rough times economically. But this does not stop the people from being the friendliest and the most hospitable in the world. If you are ever interested in visiting Sri Lanka, I can help you prepare a great itinerary which I have done several times for friends.

Wow! You are so lucky to live on a tropical island. I think Sri Lanka sounds lovely and I so hope that I will go there one day. It has everything that I need for a tropical adventure. I would like to see wildlife and visit the tea plantations. I would bring my mum back some tea enjoy drinking. I love to see colorful birds and pretty flowers. I adore seeing coconut palm trees. The people sound really friendly and you are so helpful putting together itineraries. Thanks for your excellent response.

In Asia there are some lovely tropical places like Thailand and the Philippines. I can imagine visiting the land of smiles and flying into Cebu to do some island hopping and snorkeling.
Europe has many islands but the tourist season only runs from May to October, the rest of the year it is cold. The beaches are lovely but I prefer tropical islands in Asia, the Caribbean and the South Pacific.
I hope that you will go to the Philippines one day and to Europe as well. Good luck and happy traveling.
