Ever have an ill-fated day? You plan something and it just goes all wrong.

I decided to go return bottles, do some shopping and then go get my fingerprints done. Because they coat your fingers with so much ink, that even after you wash them, there is still ink for awhile. I went to the bottle return, a guy dropped a partially full glass beer bottle that smashed all over the floor. Pieces flew up and looked like they hit the person next to him who was pretty angry. He apologized, but the liquid had splattered all over and it was impossible not to walk in it. What everyone wants to do, go to a Sheriff's Dept, or any kind of Police Station smelling like beer! So had to wash off the base of my shoes and had to try to have them smell like something else. So have you planned for things to go right, but they went all wrong anyway? Have you ever had your fingerprints taken/background check as a condition for a job? I've had numerous background checks and fingerprints done. I'm starting to wonder if I'm supposed to have a job as a substitute teacher, it's been one thing after another. Ever wonder if your attempts to get a job are ill-fated entirely, not just parts of it?

You've got to admit, only I could have these problems and all this mess started with my having to get fingerprinted. Oh well, at least it was a warm day and I was wearing black. Plus the bathroom soap cleaned up the minor splatters well. Glad you're having a wonderful evening.

Yeah, fingerprints for the job with the city. Heck, had to have a liedetector for a job once.

Wow! Lie detector, haven't had to have one of those yet. I'm feeling better now.

That was pretty scary! Not that I felt I had anything to hide, but still....

This is my year to find peace in my life. I am finding that I can find jobs, but get them, and do not want them. I am happy with my part time work, and then earning online. For the last year or two I have tried to explain to hubby all the places I could earn. He believes me, but is astounded by it, as well. He is convinced that as much as I enjoy being online, I will build a good income at some point. He has seen things come and go though, and he is afraid my income sources will dry up and then I will regret not having a full time job.

Guess I did not answer very well, just went off on a tangent. I have had lots of days that did not end as I had planned for them to. I think it is part of life's guarantee.

I guess you went off on what was on your mind. I think he has a valid point, but you are wise and you do not have all your eggs in one basket, so if one dries up, you will go to another one. My biggest problem is if we had a power outage for a month, now that would be a problem. Take care
