Has anyone ever tried to contact MyLot with questions or comments? The contact information at the bottom of each page, instructs registered users to send private messages to the user "MyLot". Now, this can't be accomplished unless they accept a friendship request, which I sent 4 weeks ago. I've also used the form included on the contact page, and have never recieved any answers to my questions. Has anyone ever gotten a response? Does anyone know what is going on?

I used to contact them a lot. When I joined there were only 35,000 members. You do not have to send a friend request to MyLot. Just send the message, it should go. It used to.They do not usually respond directly though, in my experience. May I ask what you are trying to contact them about? You do not have to say, I just am curious.

One comment was a suggestion to contact a website called CompareRewards.com, in order to extend an invitation to all former BoomerTowners. A lot of former members referenced that site looking for a replacement. While BT didn't have 149,000 members, there were still a significant number. The other comment was a question about the rules for not sending recipes. With the wonderful global membership, cooking and food is or could be a great shared area. If one was set up, even without rewards given for using it, I think it would be very popular. There are so many great cuisines out there!

I can kind of speak to the topic of recipes, they are alright, if they are in the context of a discussion, and if that is not all that you are posting. For instance, if I said to you that I learned a really easy recipe at work today and it has these ingredients, and you cook it this way, then I asked, do you think your family would like it? Or how would you change it? That would be a discussion. If I just said Crock Pot Pork roast, and gave the recipe, then there is no discussion It is here, take it. Does that make any sense the way I am explaining it? In the past we had people who just did recipe after recipe, copy, and paste, copy and paste, and never had anything to talk about with the recipe. That is when myLot started deleting those kinds of recipes. They were even copied from newsletters all the time.

Yes, what you said makes perfect sense, now that I think of it. It was probably spoiled by people who did cut & paste jobs. Too bad, it's a loss to all of us for those wonderful ethnic recipes that are delicious and have been in families for generations.

Well, I haven't had to contact Mylot in a long time, I have been here 3/12 yrs, but when I first started it was easy to contact them. because it wasn'rt a lot members here. Now I have been here 3 1/2 yrs, there are so many new members, when I started it was 36,000 now It is much much more, So I think it would be kind of hard to contact them.

I have had an excellent experience with myLot people! They are quite co operative, sincere and very helping natured! Actually I opened an paypal account initialy and I got my first payment released from myLot and got it deposited in the paypalaccount. But then I have noted that my name mentioned in the pay pal account was not tallying with my Account in India. And because of this I couldn't tranfer my earnings to my bank in case if I needed! There was no other option left for me except for opening anther account with the name tallying my Account in India as the change in the name of the Paypal account needed some documents which were then not available with me! So I have opened a new paypal account and transfered my amount back to MyLot and requested them to send to my new account with the help of my new e mail ID added to my profile. To my surprise, my complete amount was transferred to my new account in the next month only and I was mean while informed about the progress and at no given time I was subjected to any type of difficulty by myLot. There after I have got immense faith on the administration ! I think this experience of mine will help other members to clear their doubts if they are having any about the myLot! Don't worry and be assured that you are with a genuine and ccoperative discussion forum and your earnings are safe here and you can contact the administration any time you feel and if the cause is genuine I am hundred per Cent sure that you will get response from them! Thanks! Happy myLotting!

I've contacted myLot via PM without having to add them as a friend. I have never heard back from them even though I have contacted them in various ways.
