Why is celery in EVERYTHING??!?!?!?

I think celery is great, but then it is a matter of personal taste. What I hate, despise, loathe, are green beans. They, literally, make me gag!! I think you are right about the mixed veggies, celery is most likely a filler. I think celery is only popular served with buffalo wings and blue cheese dip. It does add a nice flavor to chiken soup though.

I am not aware of anything that celery gives to the taste of a dish. I know of one dish that i used to put celery in, but my father hates it too, so now i don't use it anymore and the dish taste good without it.

LOL the bf hates celery too and onions which much like celery is in SOOO MANY things... why is it? I dunno, I guess both are cheap fillers...

I will eat celery if it happens to be in a food im served but its not my favourite. I dont like the taste and I really dont like how there are the stringy pieces. I never really understood how people loved celery, I dont think its anyhting special, but Ill eat it if i have to..

Actually..its the base for alot of recipies because many people do like it! The restaurants in New Orleans each chop up a 5 gallon pail each morning to put into their food.....it's called Trinity!

Personally, I don't really like celery. Its taste is what drives me away immediately. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind eating celery at all. It's a good source of nutrition, as all vegetables are. The crunch of celery is also fun to listen to.

I noticed that too but since its not that expensive it fills up the item and makes it look like you have more inside..but then i'm not hating celery so I don't mind actually.. Huggs Moonlit..
