Children were denied candy at one families house if their parent's were not going to vote for McCain.Sounds like to me that McCain backer's and voter's are not such nice people. That does not say much for McCain.

Obama's side has done their share of things, too.

This is true, but still it is just how some people act...They want to make this a personal battle, which it should not be.The way a person votes is a personal thing and we have to let people select their chose and not punish those who do not feel the same way.To take it out on children is just simply stupid..

This is true but it was expressed in the discussion as if all McCain voters are like this...and they aren't.

At first, I didn't believe this but then another myLotter said she heard about it on her local news and I researched it myself. This is insane. Halloween is about being childhood, being happy, and dressing up. I don't understand how you can deny a little child candy because of her or his parents politics. That's over the line as far as decency is concerned. This just makes McCain look bad. The same way his supporters in Virginia telling black people was on a Wednesday makes him look bad too. At this rate, he'll lose the election without any help from himself. Personally, I hope his supporters keep acting awfully so no one wants to vote for him.

We can't judge all McCain voters over one person. That person you mentioned is quite pathetic. But throwing everyone in the pot together isn't fair. I've been listening to the news lately and one Obama backer in my areas actually keyed another person's car because they had a McCain sign in their yard. That doesn't lead me to believe all Obama backers are rude and awful.

Iam not judging "all" McCain voters. That's also horrible that anyone a McCain or Obama voter would key someone's car!It takes all kinds, huh?

When you said McCain's backers and voters it sounded like you were painting us all with one brush. Which didn't sound like you at all. I'm glad I misunderstood. Personally, I get sick of people who act like adults one day, then deny children candy and key someone's car the next.

I was asking my husband if he thought our Obama sign was detering some children from our door lol I was just reading something put out by the AP and it said that McCain supporters seem to be grumpy and Obama supporters are gleeful. I think there is some truth to that.

First of all this is just the opinion of some,No one knows what kind of President Mccain will be and what kind of President Obama will be....All of them make promises, but let us wait & see how they carry out these promises..first before we judge...

That was just sad. I seen another post on this. It should not matter when it comes to kids. Some people will not stop at anything.

I heard that too...It has nothing to do with McCain or the ones voting for him...I would say that it was just 2 stupid Parents...I cannot understand anyone doing this...Just because we had 2 stupid inmature parents acting like children ,that does not mean all McCain followers are like that, and i do not think it is McCains fault..I am not taking up for McCain, don't get me wrong ,but its just that this is an isolated case...Anyone that would hold children responsible for how their parents votes is just down right silly....

I'm not a McCain supporter myself, but surely this is more a reflection on those particular people than on him. I despise anybody who uses children for pawns for anything. How disgusting!

Us Obama supporters have some intolerable people among us too. I'm sure there are a lot of very kind McCain supporters. Just because we think different doesn't mean we are different species. Treat everyone the same!
