false alarm

I had a little walking this afternoon since I haven't done that yet. My expected date of delivery is on November 12. After having dinner, I was shocked to see a little blood on my underwear. I got nervous and immediately called my physician sister. She said the it was "bloody show" and it's alright. I can have labor anytime now since my baby is my firstborn. I also contacted my obstetrician and she advised me to observe here at home since the hospital is just within the area. I really thought that something was wrong. Thank God it was just a false alarm.

Well, I never had the "bloody show", and my water never broke with my first baby. I ended up having 4 c-sections to have my 4 children. The 4th baby was the only one that my water broke. I was in bed getting ready to go to the hospital and I thought I had wet myself. But it was that my water had broke. Anyways, I'm sure you will be fine and I bet by now you already had your little baby. I hope that it was a short and easy labor. Good luck with your little bundle of joy! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I had so much pain because of the labor but hearing my baby cry in the delivery room took all the pains away.

i think its normal, especially when your duedate is near, just like my older sister, she had this blood spotting and it made her real nervous and she keeps on crying cause she thought that she is having an abortion/miscarriage especially that our mom is not with us and we are the only two in our house that time, i was really frantic, im calling everybody, our neighbors and call my nurse aunt and when she comes she told us that it was just normal and nothing to be worried of, she just told us that the baby will be soon to be out!!

It really sounds scary, but fortunately nothing went wrong. my expected delivery date is on 28 Feb, I have heard from my friends how the 'signal' is before you are about to deliver the baby. I guess I need to study more and be well prepared. ^_^

You are getting closer. How exciting! I remember my first born. I was having contractions and my husband was working. They advised to go to the hospital when the contractions were 5 minutes apart. I was on the phone with my best friend and she was timing the contractions for me. Good luck to you:)

You are not that far away from your due date anyway so it could be anytime now! With it being your first though things could go pretty slow so as long as you do not over do things you will be fine! Good luck with it all though it is a funny feeling, exciting but scary all at the same time but well worth it when that little bundle is in your arms.

My Mom told me that both times she was pregnant, she had spotting around 24 hours before her labour started. So GOOD LUCK and hope your labour is SMOOTH and the baby is allright! ;-D

Even though it was a false alarm, I would be very careful right now if I was you. Just kind of take it easy. You due date is very near. Don't strain yourself at all. I am glad it was a false alarm. I never had that happen, but all of my babies were a little early. Best of luck, I wish you a wonderful birth and a beautiful happy baby.

It is normal to be nervous when you are that close to delivering your very first child. Heck, it is normal to be nervous with your second too. Pretty soon you will have that little bundle of joy to spoil and you will wonder what you were nervous for.

I remember my first born. I was always asking questions and that happened to me too. I don't know how many false alarms I had LOL. My first born was born on November 12 so that would be awesome if you had yours on the same day. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

I think with some people when you get so close to your due date, blood spottings are not unusual. I think when you are that close you should not take a sit down bath, but a shower instead. I did not have any spottings when I was pregnant, but then again, my son arrived three weeks early. I wish you luck with your new arrival and congratulations.

I know what your feeling right now sweety, When i was pregnant with my daughter(my first baby) I went through that exact same thing... I thought i was going into labor. But actually,I ended up not going into labor until 1 week after my due date. Bloody show is VERY normal, nothing to be afraid of, its actually a good sign =) Your VERY close to your due date now, so even if you did go into labor tomorrow* Baby would be fine. Good Luck with your delivery. Me and my Family send you and your baby blessings =)
