I got this brand new crisp dollar bill in the mail today. It come with this TV Rating Diary. (A picture is to the left) It is something I sign up for and don't remember when. I received a survey last year with a brand new crisp five dollar bill in it. The letter that come with it says: " There is money with this letter. This is to ask you please fill out a TV Viewing Diary". I guess I better stop throwing away my junk mail without opening it. Have you ever sign up for something and don't remember when? What surprise have you gotten in the mail lately?

Some Tips for not forgetting important things like sign up 1. Always use common username and password 2. Avoid spams in your mail boxes, ban or filter those senders, which you don't find useful 3. Try to create back up for all important mails in your PC and keep your mailbox clean for convenience 4. Create back up for all contact numbers and email ids 5. Try to maintain an excel sheet, where you can update all such memberships or sign ups with month of joining, username, password, purpose (importnt, casual), category, sponser's name, etc...it really helps. 6. Making a to do list is also very useful All said and done it's very common to forgrt such things, all we can do is to avoid, if really feel important

I always think these are good "surprises". For a lot of rebates, they come months after we send for them and we forget and when we get them in the mail, of course, we are very happy. A week or so ago, I got a Kraft cooking magazine and I forgot that I signed up for this freebie until I got it in the mail. Enjoy your crisp dollar bill, Chevee!

I sign up for lots of things, and then forget them. They never send money to me, though.

I got that very same thing many, MANY years ago but they only included $.50 in with it. At least I knew to open it because I could feel the quarters! LOL I always open junk mail if for no other reason than to tear up any personal information of mine they might have in there. I don't like any of my personal information even going in the trash! I've heard of too many people being victims of identify theft by criminals searching through their trash outside! I had fun doing the diary thing, though. I think I watched more TV in those two weeks than I ever did in my life before! Have fun with it!

Thank you. It said for me to wait until November 6th. I remember throwing away one of my credit cards by mistake. Long time ago. That is when I started checking my junk mail. Now I am like you I check it and rip it up how these people get this information (personal) I do not know.

Well done in getting some money in the post. I sign up and fill in things all the time. Like yourself when I receive junk mail I usually just throw it straight into the bin. You must of had a gut feeling when you opened that junk letter. Enjoy that crisp new dollar bill. I would buy a frame and put it in and hang it on my wall, and tell everyone where I got it. Think I might start and open my junk mail now.

My dear friend, I think with this kind of luck you should consider buying yourself a lottery ticket. Good for you but I have to say you're the first person I have ever had any contact with that has ever got money in the mail, unless of course a gift from a friend or relative.

Hi chevee, Nope, I've never gotten any money in my junk mail! I always open too also just to tear it up and throw it out! I guess I'm not answering the right junk! I do forget what I answer after awhile and I just love getting suprises in the mail. It's always fun getting free stuff. I get an email form a freebies site every day and I sign up for free stuff all the time. But, unfortunately most of the stuff never comes. So I think that basically the site is a rip off just to get you to give your personal information. The only stuff I have gotten so far are some food samples and a toilet paper extender roll!

I often get mails from lottery club stating that i have won in $$$$ as much as they can put there but actually if i see the values i would become an milloriare as well but i wont open these scams and just throw it in my trash box to hell as well.
