going even more "green"

hi everyone I just wanted to see if anyone here has heard of the "air powered car" yet. I saw a posting about it on yahoo and I personally thought it was ingenious. I does run partially off of electricity. The way it works is by using air to move the pistons instead of gasoline explosions. The are can currently go 35mph for a estimated 60 miles. This nearly doubles the range of most electric cars on the market today, and it also helps keep energy costs down since its not just pure electric. This car is currently still in testing phase they have to crash test, but they say they believe it will pass with flying colors. Once they pass they are opening a lot of selling locations. They say its going to be pretty "cheap" since it doesn't cost much to make it. However new things are usually expensive in my humble opinion. My question is. Do you think you would get a car like this just to get you to work and back... or do you feel this is still an empty investment. I think its great... but 35 mph doesn't really scream at me as a quality car...

That sounds a pretty interesting concept. Well if that is a feasible project then I guess that would be good at least gas is out of it and it would make budget a little bit easier on the pocket. Well I guess when things got mass produced then the prices might even get lower. The thing is will the car manufacturer buy the idea?

I believe they are manufactoring it themselves. The artical said they were the ones opening plants. I'm pretty sure that would only hike the prices up... im not really sure if it would sale if the prices were to high... I would think anything above $10,000 would be way to much for this car personally.

Anything new in the market usually comes up high since they are the first ones. What it needs is to have competition so that their market price would come down in the market.
