How do I stop stress!

Anxiety and stress are horrible. I'm relatively healthy -- however I stress out a lot and I have a lot of anxiety. I feel I'd be healthier if I could fix this problem. Earlier this year I had my gall bladder removed. It think it had a lot to do with my stress levels. I tend to smoke because of it, too. I like to meditate, but I just don't feel motivated when I'm stressed out. Any recommendations?

Well you cannot get rid of it since it is a daily routine that we have a dose of it from our day to day activity. I guess you'll only stop from receiving that when your on your last breath of your life. Well first of all there are two kinds of stress the one that makes you happy which is the good stress and one that is the opposite. You just have to be aware of it and be able to identify which makes you feel good and focus on that. For example if you are exercising and you like doing it that is a good stress on you and you have to focus on that more and try to overcome what is stressing you badly. In that case you won't feel that stress is taking its toll on you. I believe you are focusing too much on your bad stresses in life that is why your body tends to react negatively on it. Just remind yourself that you are still alive you are expected to receive lots of negative and positives in your life. Focusing your midn to the positives will sway your outlook in life a much better outlook.

You may be right. I could use a little exercise and positive reinforcement. Intellectually, I know that anything negative that happens is a challenge for growth -- and it's nothing personal. Emotionally, I always forget that:)

I can relate to what you are saying. I have severe depression and call my condition sensitivity to stress. This can cause you medical problems proven by your gall bladder. I had the same operation years ago. Meditation would help you alot. Even for just afew minutes. Visualize yourself in a situation other than what is making you stress out. You need to remove the stressers in your life. Family, financial, work or friends can all give us stress and anxiety. A firm 'no 'when asked to do things you don't have time for or that are just too much to ask of you at this time will help alot. Not easy I know but it has to be done or much more serious medical problems could arise. Think about it!

Yes, I think saying no more is excellent advice. My health and personal well-being is the most important thing. I've been getting my priorities all out of wack.

My hubby has a stress and anxiety problems too which really a big problem for him. Luckily, he have overcome his anxiety problem and don't have to take his medicines everyday. In order to get rid of that, people surrounds you has a big role for your good development. They should give you a happy environment which is really a big help. When you are around of optimist and jolly people, you would adapt that behavior and slowly you will feel really better. With stress, you need to have time for yourself to do what you really want to do to relax your mind. Relaxation is a must too. Help from yourself is the first thing you should do. You need to have determination also to overcome that kind of health problem you have.

Those are good suggestions. I'm primarily surrounded by really positive people doing positive things, with only a few exceptions. Mostly, I'm a workaholic and don't take time for myself or checking my mind. Relaxation is definitely in order.

Most time, its my work..with ontime deliveries and work loads. I try to divert mind on music and i feel better. We need to manage stress, as it is part of life in busy world.
