or did you have one when you were a kid? my mom said my sisters and i have barbie dolls when we were little, although i could not remember it now. i think barbies are the most popular girl toys in history, and i commend mattel for having kept that market share until now. do you remember if you had a barbie doll? do you/did you have lots of it?

I had barbie dolls when I was a kid. My sister gave me two barbie dolls when I was six. She gave me two because not all my playmates have barbie dolls then. She asked me to share my other barbie doll with them. Yes, she really is a very kind sister. I have a total of four barbie dolls. Aside from the two that my sister gave me, my mom also gave me one and then the other one was a gift from my uncle. Anyway, I had those barbie dolls for so long but when I reached High School, I gave them to my niece. I just don't know where they are now. I used to wish for a barbie house, but I was not granted to have one because it was so expensive so I just looked at them when we visited the mall. Now, I don't even take a look at them. I really don't like pink!

nope. never. that's why you'd always find me in our neighbors because they own barbie dolls. I love staying with my godparent's house because her daughter has 13 barbie dolls, from a mermaid to the Barbie doll's hair that turned pink. What type was that? And she also had a Barbie house that I really like.. of course, it's pink! LOL. What? you don't remember? maybe you had a barbie when you were like a year old. haha. I was playing barbie till I was 8 years old. Even boys played with us. haha!

Yes I had barbie dolls, I loved my barbie dolls and accessories and I hated growing up and not being able to play with them anymore. So I started to collect them instead, I have about five of them I think. I think that there are so many cool accessories for them now, not like when I was a kid, sometimes I think it is not fair that I am all grown up! I have actually bought a beautiful one for my daughter for christmas, it is a princess one and it sings, it is gorgeous I got it for a bargain price. I am now considering on adding it to my collection instead of giving it to my daughter, well she is only two and so does not really appreciate anything yet. She will get the collection one day anyway!

You are right, your daughter is too young to appreciate that type of Barbie. You should put it away. I saved all my Barbies and accessories for my kids and even though they were older than your daughter, they never got into them. They destroyed the camper and dune buggy, etc. Definitely don't givve that beautiful Barbie to your two year old.

I think my mom was more into barbies then I was. I don't think my sister was into them either, and well of course I know my brother wasn't. I didn't like barbie's too much and only remember playing with them around Christmas or birthday's, like the "after present hype".

Yes, I had lots of Barbie dolls when I was young. They where my favourite toy. I would take them around to my friends house and we would play for hours, dressing them up and even cutting their hairs. My eldest two daughters also played with Barbie dolls. They where more stylish than the ones of my day, and they had every thing available for them, like cars, houses, supermarkets and shops. I think there is still a few lying around my house but my two younger girls are more into the cool trendy Brat dolls.

I just found this on my pictures there. I know it is corney, but it was one my daughter uploaded years ago. Two Barbies in one day.

Believe it or not, I didn't have a barbie doll because they hadn't been invented yet! I was about 18 when my little sister started playing with barbies.

Yes I had Barbie dolls but only the cool ones.I had one of the really old first ones with the real wirey short hair that was my Mom's.Then I got the color changing hair one and the first poseable one. This was back in the late 60's for those of you trying to remember them.I'm sure if I still had them they'd be worth a fortune now.I gave them to my little sister when I out grew them and she promptly destroyed them.Seriously, destroyed, gone in pieces.Sigh.

I loved Barbie dolls, and had about a dozen I think. I still have a few of them, all packed away. I kept them in case I had daughters I could share them with, and ended up having 4 sons. I did bring them out for friends with girls who came to visit, and my sons did play with them some at the time. But they haven't aged well at all.. much of the plastic is getting rather brittle now. :(

I do have ballerina Barbie doll. My sister and I have the same Barbie doll so that we wont fight and argue. I play it before like combing her blond long hair. Try to walk it, wear her ballerina shoes, etc. When my cousin have a Barbie swimming pool, we play it together. Now I don't play it anymore but my mom used to managed to preserved it and placed it to her doll collection that was displayed at our den area. My mom loves to collect dolls so she preserved most of our dolls. So my sister and I remembered who gave it to us and when it was given that includes our Barbie dolls. Thanks Mama for preserving our dolls!

I'm a man.So when I was a kid liked yo play with tenis ball and toys like motor car, plain ,war tank ,train etc. I never liked barbie dolls. Here is the difference between a girl and a boy.Woman and man like habits and manners grow from the childhood. This is natural or Gods desire.

No! It is so sad, I have never owned a Barbie Doll. What a shame, because I see my little girl playing with them (she has a few) and I know I would have enjoyed Barbie as a kid, but alas! I was never given one! My sister, who is quite a bit younger than me had them and she loved them. She's in her thirties now and she steals them from her daughter!

I have the cheaper version of barbie but at that time barbie was not born yet so what I had then was the most beautiful toy. No barbie are also well like by little boys like my nephew who insist on wanting barbie dolls. He is only 3 years old and love everything that is associated with barbie doll, the pink color and books on barbie dolls. He is so much attracted to barbie that his parents fear he turns out to be girlish when he grows up.

I really really love Barbie dolls... I have lots of it before.. actually I still have one of them... (one only left & saved on our burning house before) she have got burned on her feet and a little bit burn on her hair..but she's still look pretty for me..i really really love my Barbie doll..because my father gave that to me when he gone back home (from other country to work) He surprised me with a big talking doll.. I really love that doll, we sleep together..eat together (as if she can it foods too) and the funniest thing that I remember is...we took a bath together.. that's why she cannot able to sing now, her singing tape at her back was damage by the water..hehe.. because of my childish manner.. ^_^ I can't help but to laugh with those crazy thing that I have done before when I was a child.. haha :p
