This is actually my fault. But I am just careless. I sign up one of those programs promoting the 7-day trial of GDI program. usually these are distributors promising you downlines and a lot of help just you will be a member of the GDI for free. But once the 7-day trial end, they will automatically charged $10 to your Paypal account. I never thought that it is so hard to cancel the account. GDI is requiring you to call their USA office for the cancellation -- maybe it is in in their TOS but I never expected it because most online business these days have chat support where you can just chat to a representative and even cancellation can be done there. Maybe GDI is intentionally making it hard so that they can charged the unsuspecting customers after the trial expired. But before the expiration, sensing that I could not cancel it fast, I changed the payment system from Paypal to my debit card. But still GDI charged my Paypal. Please be careful signing up with GDI -- you should know it is ahrd to cancel the account after the 7-day trial.

Yes, you are hundred percent right, Mr.tombiz. I am also facing the same problem. But for what have you joined the GDI? If you have and want a working website then $10 is not so much huge amout for hosting. I have also account with GDI, but for my website http://www.desirachh.ws I am using that for my online business. Check this and you will find solution for your problem.

Hi i use this program http://cashexpand.com it doesnt work for 100% i have order 10 signup monthly and i recieve about 5 but its the fastest start campaigne what i know 2 day after take order, mostly you must wait minimum 3 month for first result. My personal skill with GDI is first 6 month 0 sign up after long time 2 now 11 its nothing special but i realy want change my live therefore i keep with this opportunity. Rachel Long service is good for poeple with enough money for hughe order for example 4000 signup monthly or for diferent company than GDI with higher commission for one person in downline. I wish you a lot success in any positive you want Have a nice day Filip from Prague.

Hello desirachh, are you aware that you can have a domain name from somewhere else at $10 per year, and not $10 per month? You can get a domain name of as low as $7 per year from GoDaddy. And if you like a domain services with features like GDI (with MLM opportunity) there's VeryVIP with SFI. I can see GDI's domain services is ten times more expensive than their counterparts!

I really hate the fact that many people promote GDI that way. These people are only in it for the money and trying to get the fast start bonuses for signups. They don't care whether you stay in their downline or not. I always let people know up front and whenever I can, I try to contact them 7 days later to remind them about the policy. Cheers, Stan

Just like you I did the same. Joined and suddenly they charged my credit card. I have tried to promote and get others to join, but it has not worked out, having no downline It is not paying me this membership of, so I wanted to cancel my acoount. And as You I did found out You had to make a phone call to cancel the account. This will cost me a lot of money in phone bill, I am international member and to call to another country it is expensive. And I have also canceld some numbers since my teens use the phone and make me huge bills becouse of their calls to mobile. I therefore can not call from Sweden to another country. And additinaly I can not phone and cancel my membership.

I was a member of GDI when they chose to switch to using this method for canceling accounts.I had a difficult time trying to contact them by phone so I sent them an email to let them know I wanted to cancel my account, and they called me.

Hi, I know I should have searched here in mylot first before I even tried joining GDI tsk tsk. Wrong move. So at least you were able to have your account cancelled? the main reason why I search and found your discussion is because I was trying to find a way to cancel mine. So you just emailed customer service? I guess i will give that a try too. I do not know how I am ever going to afford calling to the US. I hope they will accomodate my request just like they did to you.

Thats why I stopped doing trials of things. I would forget to cancel OR like you they would make it almost impossible to cancel! I would lose money rather than make it!! Lesson learned I hope.

Yes, 'Careful' is the right word. I will tell you what I did the first time I signed up with them. I was not getting signups mainly because of the credit card. Most Indians do not own a credit card. Again most Indians have a State Bank of India account which provides Maestro Card without the 3-digit security code behind it. Till some days ago, I didn't realize that the bank also provides international debit card to their customers. So coming back to cancellation of my GDI account, I was also in this situation. I did call them twice but their line was busy all the time. So this is what I did. I changed my payment option from credit card to PayPal. At PayPal, I entered my credit card details. When I changed my payment option to PayPal, I was asked to enter my credit card details and I did it. Once that was completed, I logged in to my PayPal account the next day and removed the credit card details from my account. When the time came for GDI to charge the monthly fee, they couldn't because I had removed the card details and moreover, my PayPal account did not have any funds. I breathed a sigh of relief! But tell you what I signed up with GDI again a month ago because of the great earning potential and I am doing fine now because I used this trick to signup others. To know more about this simple trick, please go through this lens - http://squidoo.com/for-beginners-only.

It is a good remindr for everyone who are intending to take the trial period. You should bear in mind that it deducts automatically. You should study the site first before joining.

oh, that's too bad. I don't know about the system you're talking about but I would also be very sad if I lost $10 for such a thing. For this reason, I just don't sign up with websites which require me to pay something for them. I mean, I'm using these sites to earn money, not to lose it. I hope you will recover yours soon. good luck!

That's a great help already. I also want to sign up with them glad that the sponsor's ID keeps in failing every time I sign up. And this one would help me not to venture over there again. This is a great help indeed.

thanks for this useful info cos i almost joined them after someone introduced me too and no one told me about this fees. it must felt like robbery to you with them helping to your money without you authorising it. this shows that this site is not reliable and is only interested in earning money from you rather than help you earn money, if not how can they explain themselves to be so desperate to deduct the money from you and making it difficult for you to cancel the free trial membership.

I disagree with you when you say that the site is 'not reliable'. Internet Gurus like Kimball Roundy and Tissa Godavitarne, etc. have signed up with GDI and are earning 1000s per week (I mean per WEEK). They recommend this site to anyone who wish to earn from GDI and retire early. I signed up the second time under Tissa.

You could get your account suspended permantly for violation. That way they can't charge you anymore

I agree it was careless to join without reading the TOS first but it is also the fault of your upline for not warning you. I see so many trying to get refs for GDI on here but NOT one of them ever mentions this problem - and that is not fair. They all say it's only a 7 day trial when you join but I have NEVER seen anyone point out that it is difficult to delete your membership. Thank you for pointing this out and I hope you will be careful from now on when joining other ventures.

Thanks for all the information you guys. I just signed up. I suppose it couldn't hurt that bad since I needed the website for my work from home blog. I will be truthful. I also need the GDI experience so that I can truthfully report to others what I have experienced with the GDI company. Did any of you get any leads? What were the methods that you tried. I have only been with this company for around 24 hours, and I am thinking of switching my payment method to gift cards instead of using PayPal.
