What topics perform best on AC? Which are the most popular ones?

I joined AssociatedContent not so long ago and I've written my first article there. Just to see how the process works and how long one must wait to get the submitted articles published.
And now I'm finding myself a little at loss. I"m not sure what types of articles perform best at AC, or what topics are popular... Different topics perform differently on different sites. Articles good for Helium will perform differently on Triod and viceversa...
You see I write for Helium as well. And every time I don't know what to write about, I go to writing contests, marketplace or their 'writers needed' section and I have a topic. AC is slightly different and to be honest if I would publish something there I"d prefer it to bring me some income. Can anyone suggest any popular topics good for AC?

Actually, there is an area there that talks about the type of Articles they are looking for in there and that is an area that can give you ideas on what they are looking for in order to pay people the most at that time. As for how much they pay, that depends I think on the length of your article, and how original it might be as well. As for how long it takes for payment, that depends but it is usually at least a week or more I think. Wishing you the Best.

Are you talking about the articles they want you to bid for or something else? I see they wanted articles on where to buy different types of Christmas cards, for example, but there was no upfront payment. Or are you talking about an actual section of the website.
I write for AC, but I have been on a long hiatus from them, and just returned. I could use all the help I can get!

I have written on a lot of different topics on AC and have gotten paid for each one. I write about whatever comes to mind for me to write one. If you want to add me to your friends list I would be more than happy to send you a link so you can see the types of articles I have written there. I actually have one that is about to publish! We can add each other to our favorite cps list and look at each others new stuff!

I am never much of an AC writer, only have 4 articles. I write more in Helium comparatively.
I am also rather interested to find out what are the titles that are more popular in AC. In Helium, business, money and finance did really well for me.

I think you can determine what is popular by what people search for. Buzz words and sites like Digg and Delicious show the interests and most popular bookmarks,aritcles, and I am looking into contrversy as a source of content that people just love, stirs up there interest and they just have to voice their opinion *SMILE*
