In India people have varied habits of having something or other after having their food! In southern part of India after having a food with non Vegetarian dishes people tend to have tea.
Aniseed or fennel is another thing which is routinely taken after the food in many families and you can see this in restaurants too ! Normally the bill is presented with the plate containing Aniseed or fennel, Some times to make it more tastier a bit of plain sugar is added to it!
Some people have bettle nut cut into pieces after the food and for this pur[ose they have special typesof bettle nut cutters made from various metals, Sice this is a traditinal thing which has been coming from generations to generations ,the bettle cutter has become a collectors item and there are fewpeople with many types of bettle cutters with rich carvings on them with preciousand semiprecious metals and stones embedded in them!
Bettle leaves are eaten after applin catacheu, lime , bettle nut, aniseeds, dried coconut, cherries ,Clove, cardomom etc after making it a packet like thing which is called as 'Paan' in India. It is having its own importance and presenting a paan indctes different things at different occassion, But every where the maning implied is paying respect by offering a 'Paan"!
As said earlier some people have cardomo, some have clove bud etc. Now how about you ? Do you have anything after having the food to keep our digestion proper ? Please respond! Thanks!

this is a totally new concept to me.
i live in the uk and we do not have anything like that after our meals.
we do sometimes have tea or coffee but it is for refreshment not to aid digestion.
sometimes we get offered a mint in restraunts to freshen our breath lol.
happy mylotting
